Pros:

The hotel is not bad. It’s located downtown, close to the Calgary Tower. The room was clean and the view from the 13th floor was pretty nice. Breakfast was included in the room rate and it was buffet-style with scrambled eggs, sausages, waffles, yogurt, fruit, cereals, and more. There’s public parking right across the street. The staff at the front desk were always friendly and polite.

Cons:

The only thing I really disliked was that every time you stepped outside the hotel, you encountered homeless people who clearly had mental health issues. They hang out right on the steps.

Pros:

Our room was clean, tidy and spacious.
The staff were helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was included and lovely.

Cons:

The Downtown area of Calgary is run down, dirty and quite loud.
We felt unsafe walking around in the evening due to the large numbers of visible homeless people, alcoholics and drug addicts.

Violent area and Double charged and petty b 5 dollar charge for water
Pros:

There is a huge homeless population next to the hotel. My husband witnessed a violent incident by the hotel. After I checked out the hotel double charged me. And they have a deceitful charge for water. It is pure pettiness. I am so disappointed. I cannot speak to a manager till tomorrow,

El tamaño de la habitación, la cama era muy cómoda, había todas las facilities posibles en el baño y la cocina de la habitación , el gym y las instalaciones en general.

Cons:

Justo al lado del hotel pasaba el tranvía y eso hacía que por la noche se notara el paso de los mismos no era lo mejor para dormir.
Hubo cierta confusión con el desayuno nos habíamos alojado en el hotel la noche del 31/03 al 1/04 abril y desayunamos todos en un lado del hotel y esta segunda vez nos decían que no podíamos desayunar allí . Resulta que que son dos hoteles juntos que comparten recepción y salas de hecho hay acceso a todas las salas sin restricciones .Un hotel es de mas categoría que el otro y se ve que en nuestra primera estancia estaban casi vacío y nos pasaron a desayunar a la parte mejor . no nos habían dicho al hacer el check in esta circunstancia así que esto generó un poco de lio el desayuno en la parte de menos categoria era algo peor y estaba la sala un poco más sucia , mas concurrida las tazas eran de papel bueno .... de calidad peor

Pros:

Melody is lovely! Really great rooms, loads of space and great value for money.

Cons:

Location!!! Avoid downtown eastside. Cheaper accommodation but now I know why. Really unfortunate environment, lots of homeless people, who are sadly quite heavily drugged. Never had this feeling of lack of safety before because it was really intense the day we arrived and walked to the local super market.

Lovely 7-night stay
Pros:

We have not long returned home after a lovely 7-night stay at the Homewood Suites.

The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from Calgary Tower and Downtown. The rooms are clean and very spacious with good self-catering facilities.

The morning breakfast had some odd (from a British point of view), yet very tasty options. The only downside was that the waffle maker was terrible and constantly out of use as nobody seemed to be able to use is correctly, inclusing myself!

The staff were friendly and happy to answer any questions you had.

Overall, I would absolutely at this hotel again as a travel agent, would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to my customers.

Horrible customer service
Pros:

I had a very disappointing experience at Homewood Suites by Hilton Calgary Airport. The customer service was unacceptable from start to finish.

The room itself was not clean—there were noticeable issues that made it feel poorly maintained and not up to standard. Cleanliness is the bare minimum expectation for any hotel stay, and this fell far short.

What made the situation even worse was the lack of follow-up. I was contacted by someone claiming to be a manager after raising concerns, but despite multiple emails on my end, I have never received a reply. Being ignored after a complaint is incredibly frustrating and shows a complete lack of accountability.

Overall, this experience felt dismissive and unprofessional. Between the dirty room and nonexistent customer service, I would not stay here again or recommend it to others.
