Star Hotel Patong

This hotel is situated in a corridor of hotels, shops and eateries which makes it very convenient and it is also in walking distance to beaches and night life. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and quiet. Easy cheap shuttle booking service from hotel to airport in lobby around 200 baht. Very cost effective place to stay for the money. I would stay here again. I did not get a chance to check out the rooftop pool.

Upon arrival I did have to ask to be switched to a different room because there was a very loud noise coming from somewhere on my side of the hotel. I think it was another guests room door from across the hall dragging on the tile floor when opening and closing it, it was very loud and continuous and hurt my ears. There would have been no way for me to sleep. I tried looking around, but could not find out what the noise was or where it was coming from. The hotel receptionist was nice enough to immediately to move me to the other side of the hotel.

ホテルの従業員は皆無愛想です。
夜の担当者は、ホテル付近に住んでないから、パトンビーチ辺りの事は分からないと言って調べてもくれません。
部屋はキレイ、エレベーター付、お湯も出ます。バスタオルの貸し出しは1枚 THB100。
パトンビーチまでは徒歩圏内ですが、次はもう少しビーチまで近い所に泊まりますね。

It was a good stay at Star Hotel Resort. However, the staff was a bit rude to us and not really helpful. The location was great and we liked our deluxe room with comfortable bed.

Loved the location. Walking distance to the market and 10 min walk to the beach however the hotel wanted you to rent a beach towel (others in the area gave them to the customers). The shower water was always cold- the front desk person checked and said it was warm but it wasn't. Average hotel. Hotel staff friendly and spoke English. Find your excursions through the beach- it's cheaper and you can negotiate more. The phi phi island/ James Bond tours were rushed (only 20 minutes at each island) as a heads up. Clean rooms.

I really liked the 4 nights i stayed here. The room was big, comfortable and clean. The rooftop pool is very good with hardly anyone else using it. I also enjoyed the distance it was from the centre of Patong. Although there is some nice restaurant and cafes closeby. It's only about a 10 minute walk to the beach and centre of Patong. Overall I would definitely stay here again

10 min walk to bangla road and 5 min walk to patong beach. Staff was friendly n helpful. A bit hard to find the hotel but overall was ok. Will recommend this hotel n come back again.

I had 3 night booked both rooms over 2 nights both rooms had bed bugs in the bed didn't stay the 3rd night due to this issue pool was green but staff were nice they tried to fix issue no refund offered

Location is good, not exactly in the heart of Patong, but not far from it either. It was a 20 minutes walk to Bangla road, and about 10-15 minutes to the beach. Food market was just nearby.

My first day of staying here was good. I was checked in by the Italian owner, who happens to be a very nice and helpful man. I stayed in a deluxe room.

Things went unexpectedly bad the second day though, when I booked a standard room online. The owner's wife was incredibly rude and aggressive. I was about to walk out and stay somewhere else if the Italian owner hadn't intervened.
Standard room was not as comfy as deluxe room. Bed was old and Wifi signal was weak.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room cleaned daily - no problems!

I'd like to make 2 small suggestions to ensure guest satisfaction, 1) A shower curtain 2) A bedside clock other than that extremely enjoyable stay.

Will come back again!

Lovely hotel with excellent room service. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Only a 10 minute walk to Patong beach and 15 minutes to the main nightlife down Bangla Road. Only 300 bahts for a Tuc Tuc home.

Basic accommodation. Very clean, friendly helpful staff and my room had air con that actually worked properly. I paid $16AUD for a deluxe room (low season rates) which was large with decent bathroom. Great value for money and very happy.
