Simply the best!
Pros:

Mr. Milner and his staff made our stay awesome.! This was our sixth year having our Super Bowl and Cruise Sailaway party. He and his staff had a tasty buffet set up for us and the bar was excellent. This hotel is part of our tradition of our Cruising For A Cause group our group ranges from 40 to 55 guests that stay at the hotel. WhenI personally stay in Galveston I only stay at this location and recommend it to all of my friends.

Comfortable accommodations, clean and spacious rooms and location to cruise port is a 5 star.
Pros:

The location mainly, close to cruise port. I was disappointed that there was no breakfast available. The lady at the front desk prepared my cousin and I dinner on 24th. Said she cooked it herself, as the dinning room was closed. The meal was just perfectly prepared and delicious.

Cons:

When we arrived around 1PM there was no coffee in the lobby. There was lemon water which was nice. The hotel felt deserted, had several couples waiting in different areas, I assumed waiting to board a cruise ship.

Exactly Hotel, very nice & clean!! I recommend & I will visit again!!

Sandra @ front desk, was very nice & friendly, great personality!!

Cons:

The breakfast staff, she was gone for a long period of time & we needed something!! Waffles wasn’t mixed well, you could literally chew grains of sugar in the cooked waffle!!

Was not worth the money.
Pros:

The only thing we liked was at least the rooms were clean

Cons:

The staff was awful, they didn’t greet you or even acknowledge you. It was instantly “you have your id?!” The elevator barely worked. The bathroom in our room didn’t shut or lock, our tv didn’t work, none of the outlets worked and when calling down to the front desk no one answered.

Our stay efficiently served our need for that day.
Cons:

The surprise hold and the time I had to wait to get my hold back is upsetting. But I understand the purpose. And I’m not mad. The price was high for that time of the week but understandable. And when it says close to the beach, that must mean it is close to travel to not walk to. The term near is used loosely at best.
