The property was in a very good location, well maintained and so relaxing.

Absolutely everything! Lovely staff, fantastic location with all the amazing food of Penang right on your step! Absolutely beautiful design inside the rooms and around the whole property. They even had umbrellas for us to take out on a rainy night. Would definitely stay again

Wir hatten 3 entspannte Tage in diesem schönen Hotel,das als ehemaliges Handelshaus zu einem netten Boutiquehotel renoviert wurde. Die Lage ist gut, nicht weit von der Altstadt entfernt, der Pool hat uns an den heißen Nachmittagen gerettet. Auch das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, wir haben uns total wohl gefühlt.

Good location but the rooms are incredibly loud with very little sound insulation from the traffic outside.

Staff were ok but not particularly friendly or helpful. For example when checking out I was carrying suitcases down the stairs - the staff saw me and didn’t offer to help.

This place is beautiful, the attention to detail makes all the difference. The pool is lovely to cool off in, the grounds are well taken care of and our room had everything we could want.

If you’re looking for a stay that feels like a genuine step back in time, Jawi Peranakan Mansion is a total gem. It’s less like a hotel and more like a beautifully preserved piece of Penang’s history.

I stayed in one of the Mansion Rooms: The rooms are stunning, filled with character and old-world charm. While the beds were firm, they were still very comfortable.

Being in a historic building, you’ll hear some road noise in the mansion rooms, but it didn't bother me—it just felt like part of the city's energy.

The pool is a wonderful. It’s the perfect, quiet oasis to cool off after a humid day of exploring.

The staff are incredibly lovely and welcoming. Plus, the location is ideal—you’re right in the heart of George Town’s best food and culture.

Authentic, charming, and perfectly located. I’d go back in a heartbeat. Probably one of my favourite places in a long time.

We enjoyed staying in this lovely designed and antique place. The highlight were the staff who made our stay both comfortable and homey, like family. The front office staff were helpful in all aspects, we needed help in getting our way to Thailand and they went far and beyond to search for the right people and keeping us calm. Thankfully all went well. Our day to day interactions were fund and enjoyable. We had a great time. The room was comfortable, clean, spacious, and interestingly renovated all the way. Definitely recommend.
