Pros:

Staff so helpful, brekky lovely. I managed to get parking at the hotel. The room was beaut and so clean. Beds fresh. Bathroom was lovely. Decor all modern. No faulting it. Me and my daughter stayed but lots of room.

Great affordable stay
Pros:

The room was very spacious,clean and fresh smelling. Bathroom modern and again spacious. Beds were comfortable. The location was excelent for town & beach but very quiet and peaceful.Parking was available outside the rooms at a small cost or across road at the hotel for free. Wifi was very good as the choice of sky channels on a good sized tv.The breakfast was good quality ingrediants and cooked perfectly which was served in the hotel. ( Lovely hotel) All staff we came across were very friendly and helpful. Smooth check-in.

Cons:

No net at the window which was overlooked by houses so felt a little exposed. Pillows had seen better days and were a little lumpy.

Disappointed and no better than the standard bnbs locally. Staff were friendly and work hard.

Location was good. Communal areas clean and warm. Staff were lovely.

Cons:

The bed rattled and the mattress wasn’t particularly comfortable, which made for a poor night’s sleep. The radiator in the room didn’t work, and overall the décor felt quite dated and in need of updating. I’m also not a fan of a shower curtain over the bath — a proper shower setup would be much better.

The room didn’t match the images shown online, which appeared to show newer or more recently refurbished rooms. It was also quite difficult to find, as it’s advertised as Dolphin Rooms but is actually part of the Dovedale Hotel, which wasn’t clearly explained beforehand.

Pros:

A nice room in a converted terraced house, 20 metres from the hotel. The sea front is very close.

Cons:

It's on the first floor so there are quite a few steps and no lift

We liked the location..and the room are nicely decorated
Also the guy who checked us in was great
He accommodated. Our request for sky sports
Only 2 rooms have this apparently
Just unlucky that we were on top floor
Tea tray good .branded tea and coffee
We loved the quirky things in and around the bar lounge area.the beds and pillows were comfy

Attitude of couple of staff.one from bar .my husband asked for lemon in his g& t.and was told we haven't got any.youll just have to make do with that £10 +
Another female staff with blond hair.unproffesional attitude when asked what was going on outside the hotel in early hours
Screaming.sjouting and possibly fighting
No police called till after 3/ hours
She told me husband in an abrupt manner
Well we can't predict how people are going to behave and that's fine but it's the way she said it
Children were apparently terrified and crying
Maybe on the lower floors
We were on the top floor with my 9 year old granddaughter..luckily she didn't wake up
Also. Room 207 was boiling hot like a furnace

We went out and bought some
Apparently rooms are soundproof..I don't think so

The shower round seals and door were a bit grubby too.we also didn't like 2 flights of steep stairs with bags and suitcases
No good for an older person
But appreciate it's out of there control
Pity there wasn't a lift
