Malahini Kuda Bandos Resort

This has been one of my most memorable trips ever!
Loved the Malahini Kudo Bandos resort and the staff and entertainment was soooo nice.
I loved it so much! The rooms were spacious and SUPER CLEAN! Hats off to the entire team for such a beautiful experience and time. 5 stars from my side!!!
Our host’s name was Flippe and he was so nice and gracious. He made sure that we were well settled and took care of everything with precision. Thankyou Flippe.

Short speedboat ride away from airport is a plus, for kids whom get motion sickness easily. Sea transfer was arranged for us with transfer with my hotel in Male city.

Private island with variety of dining choices, recreation center and all you need for a trip. Nature lovers would enjoy the way the resort is created. Beautiful beach, very friendly and attentive staff, especially great thanks to Subha whom explained during check-in with necessary details on what to expect for the stay, advice from start till the last day of our trip and arrangements for our return ferry. The staff from restaurants were really lovely too, apologies that I couldn't remember their names. All of their attentiveness bring a smile to my face. :)

We stayed at pool villa, with beach access. Rooms are clean and spacious, Perfect getaway for us. However, caution about the rocks and stones in the shallow sea, I had several abrasion as I tried to swim in the shallow sea. Footwear is recommended.

Overall, I'm pleased with the stay, and recommends couples or family with kids to enjoy Maldives in Malahini resort.

Magic stay in Malahini! The resort is amazing , luxurious and the hospitality is perfect! The reef is very rich in corals and fishes

Beautiful accommodation – we rented a villa right on the beach. Perfect for families with children, with a small beach directly in front of the house and excellent snorkeling just a few meters away. The outdoor bathroom was stunning. Friendly staff, very clean, and a fantastic shark excursion. The island is small, so it’s better suited for relaxationr than for very active travelers.

We absolutely loved our stay. The room was incredibly comfortable, very big and spacious, and truly felt luxurious. One detail we really loved was the outdoor shower in the villa — something different that created a very tropical, relaxing atmosphere. Having a private pool and jacuzzi right in front of the sea was also an amazing feature and made the experience even more special.

For our honeymoon, we were surprised with lovely complimentary treats — beautiful decor, cake, fruit, wine, and even a villa deck breakfast, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch.

The food was excellent. At the main restaurant, both the buffet options — which changed daily with special themed nights — and the à la carte dishes were delicious and full of flavor. We also experienced the seafood festival dinner on the beach, which was incredible and definitely a highlight of our stay.

Another great perk was the daily 1 hour of complimentary non-motorized water sports, like SUP and kayaking, which was so much fun. The ocean itself was absolutely stunning for snorkeling — we saw many different types of fish and even some small sharks. It was an unforgettable experience!

Most of all, the team made our stay truly special. Everyone was super attentive, welcoming, friendly, and always trying to make the experience as comfortable and memorable as possible. I don’t want to forget anyone, but everyone at Maaga restaurant was amazing, as well as the reception team. A very special thank you to our host, Rippe, who was incredibly dedicated, professional, and attentive throughout our stay.

Overall, an unforgettable experience and the perfect place for a romantic getaway. We would definitely love to come back!

Koda Bandos Malahani is a great spot for a relaxing island getaway! Staff, especially Mr. Gomaa, are exceptional - attentive, pleasant, and service-oriented. 👍 The island's tiny and easy to explore. 👍 Food could be improved (boring breakfast buffet), but the reception and boat services were on point. Watch out for aggressive mosquitoes! 🐜 Overall, a wonderful experience, would recommend! ❤️

We had a great stay at Malahini Kuda Bandos. The resort is beautiful and the service was excellent. Special thanks to Gomaa, the best and most helpful waiter—always cheerful, attentive, and welcoming. He truly made our experience memorable. Highly recommended.

What makes this resort for me are the staff; they are all lovely, so nice and helpful! the food is good and plentiful and I was expecting prices to be much higher for drinks, $8/9 for a cocktail is very reasonable I thought (I wasn't AI) and they were delicious. Yes you can see Male even though it's a good distance away, but this is the payoff for only a 12 minute speedboat ride. This island is a good choice if you don't have megabucks to spend. The standard rooms were more than adequate, comfy bed, good air con, roomy, good water pressure & hot water. If you are going to shell out for a more expensive room, choose the sunrise side, the view, beach and reef on that side is much nicer. I was pleasantly surprised by the reef, saw some beautiful fish i hadn't seen before and black tipped reef sharks. I would go back for sure!
The only thing i didn't like about the standard rooms are lack of balcony ; yes you have chairs outside your door, but everyone walks past to access their rooms, so there is no privacy there, which is a shame.

This was truly our dream holiday. From the very first moment, everything was perfect – the food was outstanding, the people were incredibly kind and warm, and we felt completely comfortable and welcome throughout our entire stay.

The island itself is very small and can be walked around in about 10 minutes, which is exactly what we loved most. It allows you to truly switch off, slow down, and disconnect from everyday life. Pure relaxation.

The massages are an absolute must – simply amazing – and all the excursions were perfectly organized and fantastic.

location perfect, rooms need un upgrade like new showers need to ad some slippers for beach that is a must.
cleanliness is good nothing complain . noise level it’s real quiet so perfect, service is the best so friendly .
amenities not good we’re in 2025 so need a really big upgrade and should work on the media part , instagram and facebook .

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Malahini! The food was great, the Treehouse experience was superb! Our waitress Leona was so sweet, again, food was fantastic with a stunning sunset view! The hostess, Vanessa, at the restaurant helped us with all our extra reservations and was so hospitable. We enjoyed the lobster beach dinner, the breakfast on the deck, our beautiful accommodations on sunrise beach....the drink master Sandu from Sri Lanka was marvelous! The scuba diving was remarkable...especially the giant manta ray dive. We loved meeting so many lovely staff members that made our trip one of the best! Thank you Malahini....your warm hospitality and breathtaking island beauty will not be forgotten.

Amazing family experience at the pool villas... Great for family with kids... Very close to the airport like a 10-15mins boat ride... Great food... I would recommend full board or all inclusive which is a better feasible option then Alacarte...
If u have kids this is a great option...

Experience was amazing, i would love to stay more but i had beautiful memories in this beautiful island.
The sunrise villa was from another planet especially the bathroom and the pool with it’s view.
