remarkable, wonderful, amazing view, memorable and mesmerizing. we are world traveler, this was most definitely amount top 10. Private beach white sand . Staff very helpful and understanding . very good value for charges. every detail.
I like there there is a small fashion mall around the corner from the hotel and a supermart. There are two famous beach clubs about 10-15 minutes away. Pretty far from Lapa district, christ redeemer, in the Carnival experience. The atmosphere of the hotel is modern and clean, but does have a strong smell which takes away from the ambience. The food at the hotel is pretty average. The rooms are extremely spacious, I believe the rooms could really go to the next level if he had towels, toiletries and clean furniture. A lot of the couches chairs and carpet room has stains all over them. It will also benefit the hotel that they had at least complementary water in the rooms that are having to pay for it. The value of the hotel is pretty decent for what you get from it. The room is fairly large and clean. what I love the most about the hotel Staff was Victor and Brian. I really enjoyed their customer service, hospitality, and their effort to go out of their way to make sure that I had a great experience. I also enjoy how Brian remember my name days later providing me a service. I would say that other staff is not as friendly and the Customer Service from other staff have just felt like you were invisible.
We would highly recommend this hotel! Luiz, Rocky, Filipe, and the Manager from the reservation desk were extremely helpful and provided excellent customer service. Our room was very nice and clean with a beautiful sea view. The breakfast and dinner was delicious. Thank you Hotel Nacional for making our stay an incredible one!

We stayed for 4 nights in October 2025. Were we’re on the 25th floor with a wonderful sea view and a very spacious suite. Breakfast was great; big selection and lots of sweet things if that’s what you like. Dinner was a choice of a la carte or buffet. We tried both and preferred the variety of the buffet. The younger waiters were much more friendly than the older guys. The bar area was good and we were fascinated by the speed of the cocktail chap. A special hello to Pedro C who was very friendly and looked after us very well. The only issue we had was with loud music being played in another room between 18.39 and 23.30 one evening. Despite reporting it to the front desk at around 19.30, the music continued. If you like a nice beach and a more quiet setting than Ipenema or Copacabana, this is a perfect hotel
I had a very bad experience in this hotel and will not recommend. First which I felt so ridiculous for years of travel, the hotel said they cannot find my name in the booking system when I checked in and my booking was made through Agoda.com. They said that someone who might be renting their apartment and lease the room through Agoda and my booking might be under different reservation. They tried to contact the number shown in my confirmation email but failed, and the reception said that property number was not their hotel's. They suggested that I can cancel the reservation and book right away but I had already settled the payment. There were things to follow because of this and I still was not sure whether it was a mistake by Agoda or the hotel but I haven't encountered or heard about this in my experiences.
Room: It is not clean! I found some hair (not only one but some) on the bed sheet and one of the pillow had strong fragrance smell. I strongly believe that they didn't change the sheeting at all and I was very disappointed. Some drinks and snacks are complimentary.
Food: Very bad! I had a dinner at their restaurant and ordered a chicken ceasar salad, the meat was tasteless and chewy. The next morning I had the breakfast buffet but much food was cold even I took from hot dish area like scrambled egg and sausage and the buffet just started.
Service: Overall service is ok but not all staff are nice.
Location: It is around 15 min drive from Copacabana beach and has a small beach directly across the road. A shopping mall with some cafe and restaurants is nearby and you can also buy some necessities there which is quite convenient. It was quite packed when I stayed and there was a party holding at night until around 11pm. For people who really want to be quiet this hotel is not your pick.
Facilities: There is an out door swimming with a pool side bar and you can enjoy some drinks and snacks next to the pool. The gym room is large and are well equipped. These are attractive for people who want to stay in hotel for sometime.
Overall speaking there should be better options with the same price and I will not recommend.
Avoid 2907 on 29th floor. Right below roof top restaurant and at night you can hear people walk across floor and scraping of chairs. Really really annoying.
Check if there is a wedding / party on. When I checked in I was not warned / advised. Impossible to rest / sleep until the noise stops.
Room was not serviced inspite of requesting it twice / was told , without apology, that system showed it was done.
Overall a great location but room allocated let whole stay down.

What a trip. Rio was fantastic. The hotel and the staff were 10/10. Ryan at reception was brilliant from the moment we arrived. Very knowledgeable and extremely helpful with any questions we had. Food was great, rooms with views stunning and atmosphere great for families and couples. Id like to give a special mention to Davi Botelho a young waiter there. What a brilliant, polite and extremely helpful young man. For us the best member of staff that works there. I cant sing his praises highly enough. Thank you to everyone.

Fancy Hotel, beach view and delicious buffet.
The spa was great and worth the visit for the services offered. I had an excellent view from my room of the beach and mounds.
Everyone at the front desk was very nice, especially Patricia. And I had a great experience at the hotel . I will sure come back
Patricia Costs was amazing, her customer service was superb and she always tried her best to help us to her best ability. She was also very friendly with us as a group and provided the best advice as visitors to beautiful Brazil.

Stunning contemporary hotel in a beautiful setting. Delicious breakfast and a very chilled vibe. I loved that it was such an iconic hotel - the location is quieter but that is a positive! Easy walk to the metro and the same beautiful views as Copacabana but without the noise.
Staff were very friendly and the reception staff were helpful and resolved any query. They definitely enhance the vibe of the hotel.
