Glad we chose this hotel but expect it will be even better next time
Pros:

Character, well designed. Great blend of historical building with modern design. Staff on reception were very helpful and friendly

Cons:

Bij aankomst bleken we als 70 plussers een kamer met wenteltrap te krijgen. Die hebben we niet geaccepteerd en de nieuwe kamer was prima.
Geen toilet borstel in de WC.
Mijn vriendin moest de staf er op wijzen dat het handig zou zijn op de lift, die niet werkte, een papier te plakken dat de lift stuk was

Teleurstellend en rommelig
Pros:

De locatie, het restaurant met fijne service, goed diner en lekker ontbijt (als je op tijd was). De kamers waren netjes en mooi.

Cons:

Service liet echt te wensen over. Het voelde erg rommelig en onprofessioneel. We konden pas om 16.30 u onze kamer in; 1,5 uur later. Twee keer een verzoek neergelegd bij de receptie over missende bagage en restaurant reservering, waar vervolgens niet op teruggekomen werd en we dus zelf actie moesten ondernemen. Manager die vertelde over zieke schoonmakers en hoe zwaar hun dag was; snap dat soms alles in het honderd loopt, maar wat moet je daarmee als gast? Bij het ontbijt meerdere mensen horen klagen over rommelige incheck, te weinig vrije tafels bij het ontbijt en leeg buffet. Tijdens het uitchecken werd niet gevraagd hoe het verblijf was waardoor het ook niet voelde alsof ze ook maar een beetje hun best wilden doen om het recht te zetten. Het was van begin tot eind een verbazingwekkend teleurstellende ervaring (wat ik knap vind als je ergens maar één nacht verblijft) en prijs/kwaliteit kwam echt niet overeen.

De kamer was ruim voor 4 personen. Ook de badkamer was picobello.

Cons:

Wij hadden niets om buiten te kunnen en konden geen enkel raam openzetten. Ook het ventilatiesysteem moest door het personeel worden aangepast.

A disappointment
Pros:

The reception staff was extremely helpful, the hotel building is beautiful, the breakfast was excellent

Cons:

The cleaning of the room was below any standard for a hostel and not a "luxury hotel". Only one example - my wife had a nose blood bleeding which stained the sheets and they did not replace the sheets, although it was left visible. There are numerous examples of similar cleaning standard.
Although advertised as having airconditioner there was no AC, only a ventilation system

Architektur des Hotels, Frühstück zwar überschaubar aber qualitativ ok

Cons:

Check in war umständlich. Anreise mit Auto beschwerlich. Keine Lademöglichkeiten.
Schlechtes Zimmer trotz hoher Preis Buchung mit Booking com. Uns wurde ein dunkles Zimmer ohne Fenster gegeben. Der Schlafraum war nur über enge Treppe begehbar. Koffer konnten dorthin nicht gebracht werden. nach Beschwerde wurde uns ein anderes Zimmer gegeben. Kein Zimmerservice 3 Tage lang, keine frischen Handtücher oder Toilettenpapier.
