Dormy Inn Nagano Zenkounoyu Natural Hot Spring

Had 2 two rooms. Suprisingly nice experience. Good air conditioning, no smell. Like that there were 2 chairs and a table in room. Comfortable beds. Asked for extra pillows. Laundry was helpful. Good coffee. Free massage chairs. Located in a very convenient and cool area.

This would be a good choice for anyone arriving on the Shinkansen - just walk round to the right on leaving the station and you will soon see the Dormy Inn name on the side of a building. The reception desk was helpful in dealing with our additional booking and luggage transfer requests.

The room was pretty cramped (as is usual for such chains). Note that the bed with its rather thin mattress is pushed against the window to make the room seem a little more spacious but, along with the single bedside table, can be moved so that the person sleeping on the window side has just enough room to access without clambering over from the base. There's no bath but the shower is powerful.

The onsen on the top floor is pretty good with both indoor and rotenburo outdoor pools (neither particularly hot), plus jacuzzi and sauna. There are also a couple of massage chairs that pummel the body in an initially bizarre and ultimately satisfying way.

The best feature of this hotel is the absolutely outstanding breakfasts in a spacious room that are well worth getting up in time to be seated by the cut-off time of 9am. There's an excellent selection of freshly prepared, largely Japanese dishes worthy of a much more expensive establishment.

Whilst the hotel room and bed were a little on the small side (to be expected in Japan), the facilities and service the hotel provided were excellent. The onsen is lovely with free ice creams or probiotic drinks available afterwards; laundry machine is free to use (tumble dryer is 100¥ for 20mins) and there’s free ramen available in the evening. Location is excellent for the train station

Great location, clean and tidy - rooms are quite small but still a great place to stay - would highly recommend.

Lovely clean, friendly hotel that is near the station so easy to get to. The breakfast is wonderful and complimentary noodles are served each evening. The spa facilities are great with lovely products which are all complimentary. There is ice cream to enjoy for free after the onsen and free juice and coffee in reception! A great stay!

Very nice hotel. Location is convenient. No onsite parking, unfortunately.

The service is not that great. The staff at the front desk seemed annoyed and impatient. I did not want to interact with them even when I had need to.

The pillows were the worst. They were hard lumps that felt like a tightly folded up bath towel. I would not recommend this hotel to my family or friends. There were a lot of other hotels in Nagano.

県立美術館と善光寺を見に来るため宿泊しました。
駅前すぐで温泉もあり、朝食ビュッフェもおいしい。大浴場も清潔感があって時間を気にせず夜中も入れるのがいいですね。
とても満足しました。また泊まりたいです。

善光寺に近いし駅にも近く、立地は良い。夜泣きそばのスープがぬるいのが残念。
