Selectum Family Resort Side

J'ai passé un agréable séjour à l'hôtel surtout l'accueil été magnifique surtout mr enver qui nous a pris en charge tout le long de séjour.

The hotel’s large swimming pool areas, family-friendly activities, and attentive staff were excellent. The food variety was adequate; however, the menu was heavily focused on chicken and fish. Room cleaning was carried out regularly, and the hotel provided a safe environment for families.

Everything was excellent, specific Alua and Alea the best entertainment team

Great hotel, everything we asked for we received, excellent customer service. The hotel deserves it's 5 star rating. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Sometimes we had to check with the chef what was vegetarian as not everything was labelled. The chef was incredibly helpful but if everything vegetarian was labelled we wouldn't have to ask. The restaurants were all superb. The spa was also amazing worth 6 stars. Pony and Whatsy were great very professional and relaxing. Overall great value.

I have been returning to Turkey for the last 5 years and have stayed in several resorts across Antalya, including Granada Luxury Belek and Swandor, both of which were excellent. Unfortunately, Selectum Family Resort Side did not come close to the standards I have previously experienced.
We stayed in the lake rooms, which felt very remote from the main hotel area. The lake restaurant was often not open, and the nearby bars had very limited opening hours, meaning we constantly had to walk back to the main hotel for food and drinks. While the lake rooms look nice in photos, the reality was quite inconvenient.
Housekeeping was also disappointing. Towels were replaced daily, but the actual cleaning was poor. Floors remained dirty throughout the stay and the room often felt only “tidied” rather than properly cleaned.
The atmosphere around the resort was another let down. I have never experienced such rude and inconsiderate guests in all my years visiting Turkey. Restaurants and public areas often felt chaotic and lacked any sense of class or relaxed holiday atmosphere.
The à la carte restaurant was especially disappointing. It felt rushed, overcrowded, and nothing like the premium dining experience you would expect from a 5-star all-inclusive resort.
The drinks selection was also very poor compared to other Antalya resorts. Cocktails were basic, choice was limited, and overall the bars felt focused on quantity rather than quality.
To be fair, the resort does have good pools and plenty for children to do, so families with young kids may still enjoy it. However, if you have previously stayed in higher quality resorts in Belek such as Granada Luxury or Swandor, this hotel will likely feel like a major downgrade in terms of service, atmosphere, food, drinks, and overall experience.
Sadly, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had in Turkey.

Very HONEST review!!
Location was more out of the way from the airport than expected roughly one and a half hours from Antalya airport due to traffic and one hour journey return. Atmosphere was okay but felt it didn’t cater well for British more for the Russian's. That’s all you got asked …are you Russian !! The rooms…well let’s just say they were terrible!! Furniture was dated shelves loose and the bed and pillows were brick hard! The air con was noisy so we couldn’t keep that on at night. Only 1 English channel which was bbc news and 2 English kids channels. Size was fine but we were on the 2nd floor swim up lake house! Which was not what we booked. We booked ground floor. I have bad arthritis and going up and down stairs was not good. The railing leading up to our room was loose. The room below was getting work done so when you are trying to relax on the loungers outside our room it was difficult with the noise going on. As you can see from the pics there was mould round the bathroom window, in the corner of the shower. I have now come home with a severe chest infection!!! The maids did their best but we had to ask for loo roll a number of times. The balcony from our bedroom was hanging off NOT SAFE!! The stairs to the swim up were also a hazard. Quite unsteady ! The ladders into the pool were loose and no grip whatsoever! And too deep especially for a non swimmer like myself. How is that safe for children! The floors and not been cleaned in both rooms so you had to wear the slippers walking around. The hotel itself especially around the lake houses were run down. There was a restaurant area at the lake houses which only got used for cakes in the afternoon not for breakfast or lunch so you only had the option to eat in the main restaurant in the hotel which was utter chaos!! No organisation whatsoever! Trying to get a seat sometimes was a nightmare. We did go down to the beach restaurant for lunch which was quieter for my autistic son. The bar staff there were very pleasant and had a good laugh with them. The seating area after reception area the seats had stains on them. A lot of wasted space round about too that wasn’t getting used. We chose this hotel because we stayed at Selectum Luxury Resort Belek last year and were blown away so we thought let’s go with the same hotel group. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. The hotel and lake rooms are in dire need of restoration as this hotel has so much potential. I can’t say a bad word about the staff as they were very accommodating. I would have highlighted this at the time but the hassle and effort required to speak to someone was not worth it. Definitely not a 5 star hotel. Sadly we won’t return.

We visited this hotel from 13.05-21.05.2026.
We have traveled to Turkey more than ten times and have never had the desire to give feedback, but unfortunately, choosing this hotel based on feedback, we got a negative surprise this time.
1. The hotel is on a VERY large area. There are two shuttle buses running between the beach and the children's area on the territory. It may not be convenient to move around if you have a baby in a stroller, since it is not possible to get on the bus with a stroller.
2. The hotel is very boring during the day. There were no daily events by the pool or anywhere. There was a complete lack of entertainment.
3. The food is very monotonous and does not vary. The choice of fruit is minimal (banana, apple, pear).
4. There is no catering in the children's amusement park and water park area. If you want to have lunch with the children or have a snack, you have to walk to another hotel. And there, too, the daily snack is only burgers, fries and nagitzas every day. Similarly, on the sweet side, a small selection of churros and waffles.
5. The amusement park is free, but only 4 of the seven attractions work.
6. The elevator in the main building - only tourists with big bellies can ride it. It's hard to get on with a stroller. In addition, only one of the two elevators worked half the time.
7. Location OK, alcohol in the bar OK, staff OK.
In conclusion: If you want entertainment during the day, the food selection is varied, you are traveling with a baby who is in a stroller, then I would rather not recommend it. But if you just want to lie by the pool and are not picky about food, and the main thing is to just fill your stomach, then this is for you.
Last year at exactly the same time we were in another Selectum hotel - Selectum Noa Belek and this hotel is almost better than the Family Resort even when traveling with children.

We recently returned from a one-week stay at the Selectum hotel. We have mixed feelings: the hotel has some wonderful strengths, but the basic lack of hygiene, poor soundproofing, and service standards seriously ruined the overall experience.

The positives we really enjoyed:

Paradise for kids: The hotel is perfectly tailored for families. Plenty of activities, great water slides, and a clean general territory. The children were very happy.

Amazing SPA & Hamam: I went for full-body massages every day. The SPA staff and the masseuse (from Bali) were fantastic – she even helped me with a sunburn issue without me even asking.

Food & dining area: There was a large variety of food (though it barely changed throughout the week). The dining staff was very helpful, neat, and constantly kept the area clean.

What completely ruined our mood:

Tragic housekeeping: For four days, our room was not vacuumed at all (later, it was vacuumed only poorly in the very center). The beds were made sloppily, and after emptying the bin, the trash can was somehow left right in the middle of the room. Our personal belongings and child's toys were just thrown around anywhere. Shampoo, shower gel, and toilet paper were not replenished for days; we had to go and ask for them ourselves. Disposable slippers were completely out of the question. Strangely, we saw mountains of toothbrushes and combs in the housekeepers' carts in the hallway, but none of these amenities were left in our room. Even leaving tips (which is optional) changed absolutely nothing.

Noise and poor soundproofing: Our room faced the outside of the resort, so we were lucky to avoid the very loud and heavy party music from the main areas. However, the room doors have zero sound insulation – we could clearly hear every single footstep in the hallway. Since quite a few guests heavily overindulged in alcohol, their noisy walking and shouting down the corridors constantly woke up our children at night.

Language barrier and Russian atmosphere: It is impossible to communicate with the staff in English. If we said we didn't speak Russian, they just shrugged their shoulders and walked away. Eventually, we got tired of constantly repeating that we are not Russian. In the evenings, when we wanted to sit outside and have a cozy time, we felt like we were vacationing in Russia – only Russian music was played continuously, which completely ruined the evening atmosphere.

The hotel has a lot of potential, but the lack of basic cleanliness, thin walls, and lack of western hospitality standards significantly drops its value.

Schöne Anlage, grosses Angebot (Unterhaltung, Essen, mehrere Pools, Kinderpools etc...), riesiges Buffet, Kinderbuffet...

We are currently third night in at this hotel, the hotel itself is nice, the welcome was lovely, there’s plenty of food choice. Our room is located on top floor with a beautiful view, however, there’s ants in our room, and the loud music in the evenings just absolutely ruins everything, our room currently vibrating from such loud music, and we have a two year old with us. With it being a family resort I would have never expected the music to be playing so loud and so late… and we still have another week to go here..

Me and my family had a wonderful time here for 10 days in April. More food than you could have ever wanted. Bars everywhere. Pools outdoors as well as inside. Kids club. My youngest was first up for kids disco every night. Reception staff and managers in the lobby area who would help you with anything you needed and recognised you and said hello. I felt 100% safe here with my young children, staff were amazing and friendly. Even outside of the hotel people were so helpful and friendly. I love Turkey and the people. Always have. Thank you for a wonderful holiday and for my two children’s first time abroad.

The building is beautiful and well-maintained, the food is good, and the staff is decent, BUT I DON'T THINK IT'S RIGHT THAT A SUPPOSEDLY 5-STAR HOTEL ONLY HAS AIR CONDITIONING AFTER 9 PM, AND SOMETIMES LATER, AND ONLY UNTIL 7 AM. I WANT TO EMPHASIZE THAT THERE IS DISCRIMINATION AGAINST CUBAN GUESTS. A CHUNKIN'S GROUP ARRIVED, AND THAT DAY THEY TURNED ON THE AIR CONDITIONING AT 5 PM AND TURNED IT OFF LATER THAN USUAL. BECAUSE THEY'RE GIVEN MORE RIGHTS IF THEY PAY THE SAME AS ME. THAT REALLY UPSET ME. This needs to be addressed because this system isn't right. For me, it's no longer a 5-star hotel, and they should inform guests about this before making a reservation.

I loved the big area, lot of activities for children, nice garden, loved the Lake houses area, waterpark, luna park. Staff was friendly and helpful. Inside pool was very big and the water temperature was ok. Food was delicious.

Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die Gästebetreuung. Die Mitarbeiterinnen Pelin und Gyla waren äußerst freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Dank ihnen konnten wir einen späten Check-out in Anspruch nehmen, was unseren Aufenthalt deutlich entspannter gemacht hat. Sie waren jederzeit sehr nett und engagiert.

Das Reinigungsteam der Zimmer hat ebenfalls hervorragende Arbeit geleistet. Die Zimmer waren stets sauber, die Minibar wurde täglich zuverlässig aufgefüllt, und insgesamt war das Personal in diesem Bereich sehr freundlich. Die Zimmer selbst sind groß, gut ausgestattet und verfügen über einen kostenlosen Safe, was sehr praktisch ist.

Die Poolanlage war sauber und gepflegt, und auch das Essen war schmackhaft und abwechslungsreich.
