Brilliant!
Pros:

Awonderful hotel set in the woods away from crowds. Staff at reception were fantastic. Helped us sort out altering car hire extension. Foot masseuse was brilliant.

Cons:

Breakfast and supper catered for tour groups so very regimented (and expensive). Breakfast finished at 8.15 am!

Schöne Natur mit viel Ruhe zum Entspannen
Pros:

Das Hotel ist bei Problemen sehr entgegenkommend. Es hat fantastisches Personal, tolles Essen und einen schönen Onsen. Die Mitarbeiter sprechen alle gutes Englisch und besonders gefallen hat uns, dass man umsonst ein Fahrrad leihen konnte.Umgebung und Natur sind traumhaft. Perfekt für Ruhe. Der Shuttle Service funktioniert super. Wichtiger Hinweis: 3 Tage vorher mit der Unterkunft klären sonst kostet es schnell wie wir 55 € mit dem Taxi. Rückfahrt war gar kein Problem.

Cons:

Zimmer waren leider hellhörig, Klimaanlage in unserem Zimmer war defekt und auch wenn alles sehr gepflegt und sauber war, wirkt es doch ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Dadurch war der Preis aus unserer Sicht doch recht hoch.

A Very Disappointing Experience – Definitely Not a 4-Star Hotel

Where do I even begin? Unfortunately, both breakfast and dinner were terrible. The food was cold, and the sheer number of people being brought to the hotel by bus made the buffet an absolute nightmare. Guests were pushing and rushing around, behaving as if they were fighting over food. Simply getting something to eat felt like a battle rather than a pleasant dining experience.

By the way Breakfast was served from 7 to 9 a.m., yet guests were informed that the food would already be cleared away at 8:30 a.m.

The condition of the hotel was equally disappointing. The furniture and room furnishings were extremely outdated, and the room had a strong musty smell. The bathtub was so tiny that you could barely fit inside it without having to sit with your knees bent. It would have made far more sense to remove it and provide a larger, more comfortable shower instead. The corridors leading to the rooms were just as run-down. Overall, the entire place felt more like a cheap youth hostel than a four-star hotel. I genuinely fail to understand what justifies a four-star rating.

The check-in experience was another major disappointment. We arrived at around 2 p.m. and had to wait almost an hour in the lobby because check-in was officially at 3 p.m. This was particularly frustrating because there were plenty of staff members on duty and our room was already ready. Nobody offered us the option of paying an additional fee for an early check-in, either.

All in all, this was a genuinely shocking experience. I have stayed in more than 100 hotels throughout my travels, but this was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The poor food quality, outdated and unpleasant rooms, neglected common areas, and inflexible check-in process fell well below any reasonable expectation for a four-star property. I would absolutely not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting comfort, quality, or a proper hotel experience.
