Mayflower Grande Hotel Hat Yai

We booked this Hotel for 2 nights. We rode motorcycle from Singapore in to Thailand. As we arrived early on 21 Sep, we requested the staff for early check in as we were exhausted. But we were turned down rudely. Accepted that it's fine, we asked the staff if they can give us a call when the room is ready (as we wanted to go for the drink). Again, staff rudely rejected and asked us to come and check ourselves. When we came back to check in, staff was extremely rude, when questioned that the room is not free, we pay for it, staff replied that we can look for another hotel if we are not happy. No doubt good location, the customer service turned out be a bad experience. Not recommended as there are better Hotels around.

Nice place, nice location and friendly staff especially the tall girl! AC a bit noisy but still acceptable. No free breakfast unless you state in your booking. Will come back again for another trip to date the tall reception girl!

It is in town and yet not too overly noisy as we stayed on the top floor facing the other side of the town

Have a strategy location and easy access, walking 1-2 min distance can have hawker and shopping mall. However this hotel usually book by tour or travel agent book by the voucher. Too little quota for online booking or walk in customer.

The hotel concierge was knowledgeable and polite as compared to the services at the reception counter on the first day of my arrival.

Hotel location is good. Hotel is new and clean. Nearby plenty of food and entertainment choices. Air cond is big and a bit noisy, but it's not too bad. Sound proofing is not so Good, as we can hear noise from connected room.

soundproof is bad, we can hear coughing of neighbor. Decoration and equipments are good. And there's only 1 lift.

The room is clean.

The hotel is located in a very centralised location and walking distance to many food and shopping amenities. However, the hotel (old wing) needs to be upgraded. Toilet very run down and looks dirty. Entire room needs to be upgraded.

We brought online and knew is much more cheaper if walk in. Brought with breakfast, but it was the lousy breakfast I would said, any of the street food would be tasty than the hotel food.

Furthermore, received a very bad service from the hotel, my family woke up and going out late from the hotel. The room service group is shouting at us and said “we have to clean many floors and rooms, can’t go up and down just because of you want to go out late.” This kind of service with the hotel rate charge (we went on Hari Raya, aware it should be higher rate, but surprisingly Hatyai can find better and clean hotel but lower rate than Mayflower) is definitely not worth it.
