Blue Monkey Villas Resort & Ocean View

Lovely room but not much of a sea view. Also there was a dreadful smell of sewage in the room when I arrived. The staff did their best to sort it but it should have been noticed before i arrived. Nice breakfast, lovely staff and lovely friendly dog called Dingo.

A pesar de las criticas en tripadvisor me decidí x este sitio en mi viaje a Kuta Lombok, acerte. Es cjerto que se encuentra alejado de Kuta (7km) pero ya se indica. Es cierto que el camino para llegar es de tierra y bacheado ( estamos en Asia), es cierto que una vez alli, salvo que quieras escribir un libro, requieres una moto (o taxi) para poder ir a tu aire, pero alli mismo la encuentras a 4€ dia. Dicho lo anterior. Tiene las mejores vistas, solo por la vista desde el jardin y comedor merece la pena, desayunar se transforma en un placer. Jeff (manager) y su staff se desviven por el viajero, dando informacion de los puntos de interes y asistiendo a cualquier necesidad. La habitacion es correcta (sobre todo si valoramos precio), no tiene (O no supe hacer ir) la tv digital y se suple con dvd y peliculas que te proporcionan. La cama es comoda y cuenta don un calentador de agua para cafe o te. El comedor te sirve comida local a precio razonable y bueno, el staff del restaurant trabaja muy bien. Cuenta con 8 habitaciones, 4 en forma de cabaña y 4 normales, y un par de piscinas. Es un lugar recomendable para descubrir kuta lombok y su entorno. La wifi es lenta, pero creo que el problema es general en lombok

Mooi uitzicht, vlakbij strand, restaurants en bars.

We stayed four nights and that was enough time. I wouldn't want to stay longer due to the remote location. Perfect place to unwind and just lounge around.

Pro's:
Amazing views
Good sized rooms
Friendly staff
Always a cool breeze on a hot day
Quiet and off the beaten track

Con's:
Power and internet go down regularly
Hard to access hotel by road or foot
Food not great

Keep in mind while booking this property that it is very remote and nothing nearby. You are restricted to using their driver (very nice) because of incredibly rough dirt road to the hotel (not suitable for taxi's).
