A very large conference hotel that is attached to the convention centre and Holiday inn. Giant grand lobby but they manage to make the check in process personable. Upgraded me as i’m a diamond ambassador member
The suite is nice and large, with byredo toiletries. Also with balconies and views of the yantze river and the bridge
Breakfast at the lobby was ok despite the size and crowds. Typical china buffet style
Chinese restaurant Yue was ok, 4-5 five star service
9/10
Probably THE best hotel I’ve stayed in! Amazing.
This place is staggering. The staff, while some struggle to speak English are very helpful and always attentive. No complaints at all. Efficient, well priced and very comfortable.
非常好的入住体验。入住接待,行政吧服务人员很赞,提前都安排好入住手续和房间。行政吧的餐饮很周到温馨,如有下次,定会再来,推荐。
Wuhan Intercontinental Hotel 19-21 November 2019
Arrived late in the afternoon and reception was efficient and good.
The room, 1051, was as requested and a little better than the standard Intercontinental Hotels. It was fresh and well appointed, with a larger than average size. As per my booking it overlooked the Yangtze River, and well met Intercontinental expectations.
The bathroom is lovely and has a full bath and a good size separate shower.
Wifi worked well and is complimentary with our room. The TV is a good size, with several international channels.
The hotel is bigger than most. It has several restaurants and a nice bar. During our stay it was very quiet.
We had dinner in the Chinese Restaurant, and that was a nice experience. The restaurant was not busy, and it was lovely and peaceful. The service was very nice, and we selected local dishes, the food was lovely.
The location is on the Yangtze River, and next to Wuhan’s International Exhibition Centre. There are no shops nearby, but a short taxi ride would reach some shopping areas.
The Concierge, Aaron Xie, provides a very good service and makes a great concierge.
Overall, a very nice experience and happy to stay here again. Thank you.
The hotel is housed just next to the expo center which means it is in a remote area.
We arrived relatively late at close to 9 pm and I decided to look for some food. For a 5 stars hotel, it is unusual to only have 2 restaurants and I chose the Chinese one which I was turned away saying the chefs have left when the last seating time I was told is 9:30 pm. I went then to the international restaurant and was also turned away as they said they only serve buffet at night. I ended up with room service.
Room is very spacious for the price we paid and this is the best part of the otherwise very “cold” hotel with long walkways.
Fantastic hotel with large spacious rooms. Balcony overlooking the river. Beautiful foyer and restaurants.
Front desk arranged taxis for us very quickly.
Huge meeting spaces in convention centre next door.
酒店離鬧區比較遠 但整體環境還算不錯
This hotel locate a bit far off city center, next door to exhibition center.
Room set out good, nice and clean. no other restaurant nearby you can only eat in or take subway to downtown.
Staffs are friendly. the entrance to hotel been blocked so i have to park down stairs and walk through a long way.
The very bad experience is the executive lounge is not open to Spire Elite member. only for paid premiume member. This makes me wonder. with similar peice. I can stay in other hotel but enjoy lounge for free. Why am I going to stay here. no advantage at all.
So, if you are IHG member. strongly recommand you NOT to stay this hotel. Big disappointment.
Unless you enjoy endless marble corridors full of nothing I suggest you avoid this depressing hotel. It’s cold, most of the staff haven’t got a clue what they’re doing (reception struggled to print me a piece of paper) and the food is hit and miss - a great buffet one night reduced to hardly anything the following night. The gym is the kind you’d expect in a 3 star hotel, there’s no pool, sauna or hot tub (just some strange empty baths in the changing room). At 23.20 in the lobby lounge bar, which is advertised as being open till midnight, my colleague and I asked for two more gin and tonics. After 10 minutes a man came with a teapot full of hot water and poured it on what was left of our drinks. Still no idea why. Then they told us it was closed. Will never stay here again
非常好,去武汉就应该住这家洲际酒店,早餐也非常好。
很棒的体验
bit far from metro station which is also dark and quiet even at the day time. Hotel staff not friendly and without smile. Staff at breakfast are lazy.
Intercontinental Wuhan Hotel stay 3 nights during one business trip, is amazing hotel placed in a very good área front to the river, inside the rooms is very big with very good desk to work inside, with excelent WI-FI conection. the cleanless is very good.
The breakfast buffet is very big and extremely varied. the staff is ver nice. and at the end the price is very good, I strongly recomend for business or for relaxing
Stayed one night during a business trip. My room was upgraded to a river view with lounge access (after I requested as a platinum member at check-in). The room was unusually big with a small balcony. Staffs were all very nice and spoke English. The lounge was a bit simple with alcohols locked up after 8 pm. The hotel was connected to a conference center. But there were not many places to visit nearby. If you were a conference goer, with a family, and got a good price, this place would be a good value for you.
If you’re here for a convention or need to be this part of the city, between the airport and City Centre - with a subway - this is a great hotel.
The rooms are modern and huge, the bathroom is huge and the view from the huge windows and balcony over the bridges (still more being built) and river traffic on the Yangtze River are stunning if somewhat marred by the constant haze of smog.
Makes staying in this massive convention area - and attending interminable conventions - interesting!
You may be the only ones for the big and extremely varied buffet breakfast or (somewhat repeated) buffet dinner or a la carte lunch. Until there’s a convention on and then it obviously has to gear up and it becomes a different place.
Service in the Bar next to the cigar bar (that we didn’t try) was lovely and friendly and helped by the sweet resident Cuban couple singing live most nights.
But what really made this special was the sublime and surreal experience of Oktoberfest (in September) in a marquee outside the hotel for a few nights with a proper German band (who had also prepared the odd Chinese hit), German sausages, ham hock plus a Chinese buffet complete with lacquered duck & pancakes chef. I believe Oktoberfest visits the hotel regularly.
What more could you want to let your hair down in Wuhan!
Hotel was very nice and would recommend it especially if you are doing an event at the expo center. The gym was ok, but not great.
spent one night, had an upgrade on river view, very nice !
pool is small. Breakfast is good.
wifi very good.
Fit Interocntinental level. I forgot my power charger, they found it , but when i came back to pick it up it took 30min to find it back.. anyway service is ok!
A massive building (about 400 rooms) along Yangtse river but quite far away from city center and the airport Intercontinental Wuhan is a modern and comfortable business hotel. I spent one night there in April 2018 on business trip. My room was very large, clean and well appointed with an also very large bathroom. It had a small balcony with a view over Yangtse river which is not a common feature in such buildings. Lobby of impressive dimensions and modern facilities. However, I found service at breakfast quite disorganized - the table I was sitting at was given to other guests twice - and options relatively limited compared to other hotels of a similar category in China. Management should take a look at this. Nevertheless, if - as in my case - you have compelling reasons to stay in this part of the city there is no doubt that Intercontinental Wuhan is a good option.
Stunning hotel and facade; quite far from the airport (1 hour or so) and take a taxi card or book transfer because taxis do not necessarily want to go there or do not know where it is. I had an interesting experience of a detour by the taxi cab to fill gas late at night which was a bit unnerving.
Stunning hotel facade; lovely breakfast buffet; and very luxurious.
Only other issue I had was that the wifi was VERY slow in the hotel.
Hotel is on the river and nice for a cruise but better for conferences and not very central; I heard there is a subway accessible with a golf cart
This is a swanky new hotel in Wuhan with large rooms, huge lobby and generally opulent designs. It's right next to a convention center, which makes it very convenient if you are attending a convention there. That should be the only reason why you should stay there as the location is terrible. It's far away from every where and there are no nearby shops you can walk around. Even taxi are scarce and DIDI drivers are not abundant here.
The hotel has a decent large Cafe for breakfast and dinner (not lunch) as well as a Chinese restaurant with slow service. There is a nice cigar bar (which is why I booked it) but you can't bring your own cigars. Instead, you have to pay a huge premium for cigars which may be from dodgy sources. Given that they are selling fake Cohiba ashtray, lighters and whatnots, I wouldn't like to pay a high price for cigars which I don't know the source. So that's a damper and there are no other smoking bar or room in the whole hotel. So I actually had to go Westin Wuhan for my cigar. They have a nice cigar room which you can bring your own cigars.
In summary, nice hotel but location and silly cigar bar policy is a downer.
