A great place to stay if you are in the area!
Pros:

the breakfast was amazing - pancakes, omelets, juices, oatmeal, cereals, bagels, cinnamon rolls and FRESHLY GROUND COFFEE! Way more than we expected but were so happy to have!

Cons:

We waited until the 3pm check-in time, after 7 hours of driving and 3 hours of standing in the frigid cold for the Walk of Peace, hoping to get checked in right away. The front desk clerk was super friendly and polite, but said our room wasn't going to be ready for another 20 minutes. Kind of disappointing, but he said they were short-staffed, so we went less than 1/4 mile away to Cracker Barrel and had an early dinner. Everything else about our stay was perfect!

This Holiday Inn Express was a bit pricier than other hotels in the area, but the location made it worth it since it was super close to the Polar Express—huge win for our trip.

The real standout here was the staff. We had an issue with payment through Booking.com, and they were beyond helpful, patient, and genuinely kind while getting everything sorted out. You could tell they truly cared about making things right.

Since we stayed during Christmas, the hotel leaned into the holiday spirit with a kids’ coloring table set up near the Christmas tree, which was such a sweet touch. They also had a hot chocolate table, though the basket was often empty—so a little more restocking would’ve made that extra cozy moment even better.

The hotel was very busy the weekend we stayed, but despite that, the staff did their absolute best to keep things running smoothly, and it showed.

Our room was clean, nicely kept, and the bed was *super* comfortable—definitely a great night’s sleep. The only downside was the bathroom door being off track, which made closing it a bit of a struggle.

Overall, it was a good stay with excellent service, a festive atmosphere, and a comfy place to recharge. I’d definitely consider staying again, especially for Polar Express season 🎄✨

Pros:

Hotel is located in a busy, central area close to many restaurants. My room was spacious and comfortable, and all the interactions I had with staff were very pleasant. Generally good breakfast options.

Cons:

The only thing I did not like was the water pressure in the shower. The shower was spacious and nice, but I’d appreciate more water pressure. At breakfast one morning I opened a carton of 2% milk that had gone bad; it had not been kept cold.
