Fair place to stay.
Pros:

The place is one of many Red Doorz in Jakarta. The staff does not speak English. If not for one of the other guests, communication would have been difficult. It is not far from many small places to eat. And not far from the big malls. Maybe 25 minutes walking. The alleys are narrow so if taking a cab or car, be warned. All in all, it is a decent place to stay. No frills, but you get what you pay for.

Good low budget place to stay
Pros:

We stayed here two nights just to sleep off the jetlag. The location was a bit hard to find but with some phonecalls and asking around, we finally got there. The room was small but there were enough space to place your stuff. Bathroom is very simple just wc and shower, the sink to brush your teeth is in the corridor. Host lady was very kind and her daughter speaks good English.
