The Hotel Les Saules is a wonderful hotel that is a must for that trip away for any reason. The staff are personable and welcoming; very professional. Vonnas is this beautiful little town in France that is a hot bed of culinary excellence and the gem of the hospitality industry.
Our room was lovely and well appointed. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean and well thought out. Our room looked out over the square of the town which also served as the parking lot for everything, yet it was part of the park. We had a balcony where you could order breakfast, but don't do that. Go to the breakfast they have at their neighboring restaurant. It must be a training ground for the next set of Michelin star chefs. The food was beyond amazing. It was not overpriced and worth every penny that you pay. Everything is fresh and delicious. NOTE: Make reservations in their restaurant in advance especially during the summer season. There are two types of services: the restaurant and the Food Tasting Menu. The restaurant is ala carte and the Food Tasting Menu is expensive, but if you are a foodie, this is your moment of joy. RESERVATIONS for either are a must.
Everything is close by and quaint. Definitely a highlight of our stays.

Having stayed several times at Vannos and thoroughly enjoyed the experience this was a disappointment. There were no amenities in the bathroom such as shower cap, moisturiser etc.

Une grande déception,notre chambre dans un lieu, le petit déjeuner dans un autre, le restaurant dans un troisième. Pas de service en chambre . À l’arrivée il faut chercher la réception autour de la place, se débrouiller avec les bagages puis emmener ailleurs la voiture au voiturier pour qu’il la parque .....Pas de choix de restaurant (la majorité fermée) obligation du restaurant gastronomique avec un vin hors de prix. Et le lendemain recherche du Xieme restaurant très mal indiqué. Et cerise.... le prix des prestations annexes est sous évalué sur Hôtels.com

Trevligt ställe ,med fantastiska matupplevelser
även i lågsäsong .
Även om det blev lite stökigt med boende på
ett av Blancs hotel , middag på
ett annat och frukost på ett tredje .
Så undvik övernattning måndagar i lågsäsong .

Would benefit from an update to the facilities for the price of the rooms.

Really special, excellent food very calm and clean!

Wunderschöne Hotelanlage, freundliches und aufmerksames Personal, wenn man das erste mal kommt ist es ein bisschen kompliziert. Zimmer ab Mitternacht sehr lärmig von draussen.

Comfortable, large room. Very good bathroom. Atmospheric village with the fabulous Georges Blanc restaurant. The only slight complaint was that thefe was no one at reception when we arrived. The estate handyman had to go and find someone to check us in.

Séjour addictif !

Prima verblijf. Onderdeel van het George Blanc dorp. Mooie grote kamer.
Ontbijt was een beetje duur. (20 euro continental en 35 voor buffet) maar er is zit een bakkertje verderop die vers gebakken croissants verkoopt.

Le séjour était correct. Seul bémol le prix du petit déjeuner et le prix du restaurant. Le spa est propre et agréable.

Ett pittoreskt hotell i en liten by helt fokuserad på stadens stora kock, Blanc. Hotellet är närmast ett annex till det mer berömda där priserna är mycket höga. Rummen ganska rymliga och med tur
har man utsikt över torget. Allt är tyvärr täckt av heltäckningsmattor vilka med åren blir slitna
och ofräscha. Obefintligt Internet trots att receptionen hävdade det motsatta. Vi fick av annan person veta att gatuarbeten störde internettrafiken.

Pas de réception à l'hôtel, ns avons attendu, un membre du personnel est apparu en nous envoyant à la réception du 3 étoiles (là très aimable) pour nous remettre la clé de notre chambre, puis nous avons dû ns débrouiller avec nos bagages, car de nouveau personne. Inconcevable pour cette catégorie.

The rooms were quite nice- I say rooms because our first room was rather dark and we had no view. They graciously changed us to a nicer room for our next 3 nights. There really is no reception area at Les Saules, as all the admin staff is across the square at the other hotel(George Blanc). That suited us fine. The overall area is lovely-typical French countryside, although there’s not much to do in the town itself.

Dommage, le bruit des groupes froid qui démarrent tous les quarts d'heure juste en dessous de notre chambre. Sinon, excellente literie, très belle salle de bains, chambre au calme entre deux démarrages des groupes froid.

The room was great, however the whole village is dominated by George Blanc and there was without doubt a them and us feeling as we walked around the village. We ended playing a game to see how long you could last without seeing the name George Blanc. You were lucky if you managed it for 2 minutes. No complaint about the hotel or the staff, but we will not be back again.
