Once we arrived, we didn't want to leave.
Pros:

The view was amazing! From our balcony, we could see the sunset over the Pacific Ocean, with the hotel pool and fountain in the foreground.

Cons:

Schöne Lage, Katastrophale Preis/Leistung
Pros:

Die Lage war an sich super. Mit dem Auto (4x4 notwendig) sind es nur wenige Minuten zum tollen Strand mit gratis Parkplätzen direkt am Meer. In der direkten Umgebung gibt es viele tolle Restaurants & Möglichkeiten zu shoppen. Die Aussicht ist Klasse, wir haben zudem ein Faultier, verschiedene Affenarten, Echsen & Tukane aus nächster Nähe sehen können. Der Poolbereich ist grundsätzlich sehr schön & die Mitarbeitenden sind allesamt sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück war soweit okay.

Cons:

Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist leider eine Katastrophe! Es war die mit Abstand teuerste unserer 5 Unterkünfte on Costa Rica und qualitativ leider die schlechteste. Das Hotel ist an allen Ecken und Enden sehr im die Jahre gekommen. Unsere Fliegengitter Tür war defekt (bei gleichzeitig sehr vielen Mücken in der Anlage), der Wasserhahn der Fußdusche kam uns mehrmals entgegen, die neuen Handtücher und Betlaken hatten frisch aussehende Flecken, die Möbel im Poolbereich waren fast alle defekt usw. Ich könnte hier beliebig fortführen. Für den extrem hohen Preis von über 180€/Nacht gab es dann auch noch das dünnste Toilettenpapier was es zu kaufen gibt. Das "Doppelbett" ist lediglich 120m breit und für mich ein Einzelbett. Für 2 war es uns jedenfalls deutlich zu eng. Preis und Qualität stehen leider in keinem Verhältnis. Würde das Hotel 1/3 des Preises kosten könnte ich damit sehr gut leben. So nicht, sehr schade.

Tolle Aussicht, nettes Personal, Frühstück in Ordnung, große schöne Räume, toller Balkon

Cons:

Überraschend massiver Straßenlärm mit Verkehr bis tief in die Nacht, total touristisch, hellhörig, kaum Bewegungsmöglichkeit auf der Anlage, Restaurantbetrieb direkt unter uns, kleiner Pool mit wenig Sitzplätzen und direkt auf dem Präsentierteller der Restaurantgäste, Fußweg zum Strand nur über die staubige Hauptstraße... mit kleinen Kindern alles nicht so optimal. Hat den extrem hohen Preis nicht gerechtfertigt.

La peor experiencia, no vuelvo a ese lugar.

Lo que me gusta es el hotel en sí, la naturaleza y la comida que venden, aunque los precios son muy elevados.

Cons:

1. Restaurante con precios super elevados.
2. En el área de la piscina no se puede poner música, tiene que estar el volumen lo más bajo posible, sino sale la china a decir que los huéspedes se quejan, cuando ni hay nadie en el hotel, solo el grupo de 8 personas con el que estaba.
3. Servicios al cliente PESIMO: Al realizar la reserva me confirmaron las 2 habitaciones en el segundo piso y cuando llegamos nos enviaron abajo por la piscina. Al reclamar, la muchacha de recepción se indispone y nos muestra las habitaciones juntas que pedimos, claro separadas por una pared de BAMBÚ.. Si, las habitaciones ni estaban juntas.. había que caminar debajo de la lluvia para llegar a la siguiente habitación. Antes de resolver el problema la empleada, decide entregar la habitación que habíamos pedido.. a una clienta que llega después que nosotros.. Y Si.., en total mala fé.. Así que ya no se podía ir al segundo piso por que no entraban las 8 personas.. cuando la muchacha pudo haber corregido la situación antes de entregar esa habitación.
En fin, tuvimos que quedarnos en las 3 habitaciones que nos asignaron, por que ya no había espacio donde mover tantas personas.

Pros:

The staff were exceptional. Had a bit of an accident and they went above and beyond to try to help out.
The views are beautiful, breakfast overlooking the bay was lovely, same with the views from our balcony as I spent a day recuperating and my kids enjoyed reading on the balcony in the hammock. Pura Vida! We saw some squirrel monkeys and some white faced monkeys, it was great to be so close to the wildlife around.
We enjoyed the 15 min hike to (25 min back - all uphill from) the beach. Didn't really bother us, we enjoy the exercise.
The room was lovely and spacious for a family of 4, didn't feel like we were on top of each other.
The food was great, breakfast was so fresh, and we enjoyed a late lunch at the restaurant, delicious.

Cons:

The walls are incredibly thin. I could tell that our neighbour was probably a female of a certain middle age as I could hear her love of Adele and other light acoustic pop. Confirmed when I she started singing along. I would give her singing a 8 out of 10!
Also the water pressure was absmal. So bad that the shower cut out halfway through washing my hair, probably as someone had turned another tap on somewhere. Had to wait a minute and try to turn it on again, which worked again. Not major inconveniences, but still to be aware of.

Lovely rustic hotel in the most stunning location. Beautiful views from breakfast and dinner of the rain forest and coast. Monkeys, toucans, macaws, vultures, butterflies, lizards and frigate birds seen from the balcony. Easy walk into the village with quality food at nearby restaurants and fabulous Korean food at the hotel. We will be back

Secluded little spot with an absolutely breathtaking view - would visit again!
Pros:

The view was phenomenal. The breakfast was alright, nothing special, but delicious coffee and fruit, and the staff was super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The pool is small but the view from the pool area and from the dining areas was absolutely gorgeous.

The shower seemed to flood the bathroom. There was mold around the bathroom window. My fiancé cleaned the white ceiling fan so we could circulate the air in the room without spreading dirt all over the room.
