Lake City Hotel
Pros:

Staff at front desk. Housecleaning Staff, were kind, friendly, caring, supportive, helpful, curb appeal was great, rooms were clean & roomy and smelled fresh. Great breakfast, couldn't of had a better place to stay.

Cons:

Bed wasn't comfortable for me, the air conditioner didn't work very well in one room. I booked 2 rooms. Neither of these were a inconvenience to us. Let staff & housekeeping know about air conditioner and they were having maintenance look at it. This location was alot nicer, cleaner, and staff were alot nicer than the Americainn in Red Wing, Mn had other family staying there the rooms were not clean, staff were rude, bedding was dirty. I wouldn't stay there glad we had rooms in Lake City woukd diffently stay there again.

Staff & housekeeping very polite, respectful, helpful. rooms were clean, smelled nice when you walked in. Clean property & nice curb side appeal. Polite, courteous, patient, helpful & caring.

Cons:

Bed was uncomfortable, the air in room didn't work like it should or like the other room we had did. Neither of these made our stay uncomfortable.
Other family stayed at The Red Wing Americainn was not at all as clean. Staff & housecleaning could of did a way better job than what was done & more polite, respectful & better responsive then they were. The rooms weren't clean smelling, dirty sheet on bed, needs better upkeep

I had not check out but took my bags to my son baseball tournament went back to my room to rest in between games to find my room was being cleaned 2 hours before checkout.

Cons:

Judy should not work in hospitality. Rooms were bare minimum. We didnt even have a microwave in one of the rooms we reserved. Notes on file did not get communicated with staff either.

They obviously need more staff to clean rooms in order to have rooms ready by check-in time.

Check-in was supposed to be at 3pm. The room wasn’t ready until 5pm. The desk person couldn’t be bothered to give me a call or send a message when the room was ready (we killed time at a bar in town).
