The entrance is up a flight of steps, area is spotless. Small reception area open 24/7. Amazing, friendly staff. Fast check-in with excellent English. We had 2 rooms on the 5th floor. Small lift, so 2 at a time with bags, but fast for an older building. Room decent size with ensuite, one had a better view than the other. Decor dated, but the room and ensuite were spotless, scrubbed clean spotless, very impressive for an older building. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Room lovely and warm. Wardrobe with hangers, desk with chairs. Hair dryer available from reception for free. Excellent free Wifi. Our rooms were checked everyday, new towels, bed made, basic toiletries replaced and rubbish removed. Basic toiletries were soap, packets of body wash and shampoo, but we brought our own. We saw the reviews of the hotel, and feel only people who travel and understand what to expect can truly appreciate this little gem. We did not avail of breakfast. Location is perfect for visiting all of Paris. Metro across the street. Day tickets for €12 unlimited travel, but you have to buy a card to put it on for €2, which lasts 10 years. We used the metro to visit the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Sacre Coeur, Euro Disney. Train was fast. No issues with pick pockets. Excellent hotel, we were out all day, just showered and slept there, so was perfect for sightseeing. Price and location was excellent. McDonalds, Subway and large grocery shop beside hotel. Plenty of restaurants in the area. We had no issue with noise in our rooms. Thank you to all the staff in the hotel. We had a very positive experience here. Emma & family, Ireland :)
Close to metro, it is above a McDonalds. Unfriendly, rude women at the reception. The room was dirty, bathroom window did not close. Only the sheets and the towels were clean. TV did not work, WiFi not working, and when I asked about it, the woman got very defensive, it was the fault of my mobile, she denied that WiFi was not secure. I asked to cancel and get a refund, that was flatly refused. I slept there one night. Paid for 3 nights but found another place. Left some clothing I hand washed to dry. When I returned a day later, my clothing was gone! This led to an argument with the woman at the reception. Finally did get my clothing back. They had wanted to rent the room out again. Unscrupulous management.
Great location, opposite metro station where you can visit the whole Paris ,the area is very live and friendly. The stuff is very friendly, the room is nice clean and the bed is perfect, some noise from outside but no particular problems. Would definitely stay again, very good reasonable price the accommodation cost.
Bad Neighborhood
Staff were all polite and friendly, the rooms decor was a little dated but thats not much of a worry. The bathroom had a great shower and plenty of space. The street outside can be a little noisy at night, but apart from that i cant complain. Would come again.
It’s older, but renovated and comfortable enough. Very close to the train station which made it easy to get wherever we needed to go. Would book again.
No complaints. I had an excellent night’s sleep and would stay again. The decor was soothing and full of individuality.
I happened to be in Paris at what felt to be the most expensive time where hotels I normally stay at, costed 2x or more. It was absolutely ridiculous to find a room at a reasonable price, so I stayed here just to be in the city area.
Location: It's conveniently located by a couple train stations and there is lots of good food options near by. This was part of the reason I chose this hotel.
Facility: It's definitely old and feels it. You can tell from pictures from others what the rooms are like but they're very small. Unfortunate for me, there was a heat wave in Paris and there is no air condition so I had to leave the windows open, However, this is in a pretty noisy area, so sleeping was not great.
Needless to say, I won't be staying here again.
We stayed n this hotel for one night on return from Disneyland Paris before catching a train to Italy - it is older but very clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. I wanted a close to transport inexpensive place to stay for a night and this place was perfect for that. McDonald’s is right next door and there is a carrefour(small grocery Store) across the street so we could grab what we needed and get to bed.
unique property, excellent location right near the metro station so easy access to any points. lots of bars and restaurants near the hotel. only quite a bit of noise due to the metro BUT not a problem as we slept through fine. hotel staff kind and friendly. you do need to hand your key in anytime you leave so bare that in mind. overall 9/10 stay!
A budget hotel in a not-so-great location, but close to the metro!
There’s a McDonald’s right next to the hotel, which you can count on for meals. Breakfast at the hotel must be reserved separately.
The rooms are old and the building isn’t exactly high quality, but the staff are kind and do their best to help you.
Especially one woman — I’m not sure if her name was Carla or not — she was really kind.
The bathroom was not really clean
The wall and ceiling have molding
I stayed in this hotel 5 nights last October, i just needed a place to crash while taking care of business and i did enjoy the stay at this hotel, rooms were priced just right, a metro station just a across the street will take me to the downtown center of Paris in just a few minutes, and other metro stations are close by,
staff was helpful and friendly, rooms and shower were cleaned every day, got clean towels everyday, when you leave the premises you need to leave the keys at the front desk and pick them up when you going back to your room, i had no problem with that at all, i think it was Safer to leave the keys at the front desk, i will try to book my stay at this place next time i go to Paris.
if you want a hotel that is up to date and close to all the tourist spots amenities you are going to pay way more money, but if you are traveling on a budget this is the right place.
Hotel is very close to a Metro station making it very accessible for transportation. The staff are nice. The room is dated and the heater barely works.
Very cheap
If you traveling for a day It was fine We stayed for 2 nites The trouble we had is that we suit cases and their ground floor was up another floor and we have to carry our suit cases up in a stairs. The front of the hotel is deceiving It shows only a front door and they way the presented it on the website was nice
The noise from the street made it hard for me to get much sleep, even with a 5th floor room. That was too bad, as otherwise, the hotel was great. The staff was friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable, the included breakfast was fine, the location so close to a metro was great, the bathroom was fine, and the price was good. The elevator was temperamental, but it was better than no elevator. Note that the reception desk and elevator are on the second floor, so there are still steps that are unavoidable.
I stayed for four nights. It was really close to a major metro line, making it very easy to explore the rest of Paris. The rooms were based on keys so every time I entered an exited the hotel I simply left my key at the front desk and picked it up, and they checked my name every time so I wasn’t worried about someone else coming into my room. However, it was a smaller, potentially older building in the middle of the city and being so close to the metro line it was very loud, the walls were really thin too, so I could very clearly hear everything that was happening anytime my neighbors would enter or exit their rooms throughout the day. I also wish that there had been a do not disturb sign there was none available and there was a day where one of the cleaning ladies walked in on me because I happened to be there in the middle of the afternoon.
This place is disgusting. It’s dirty, smells terrible, the paint on the walls is peeling. The elevator is tiny. My husband and I got there at 9:00 P.M and were very concerned about the hotel and the people lingering on the street but checked in and went to the room nonetheless. The bed was slightly bigger than a twin bed. There was no shade in window; we could see and hear everything on the street. Nothing looked clean and it smelled bad. I didn’t want to sit on that bed and much less sleep in it. We ended up booking another hotel for the three nights we were in Paris and left immediately. Don’t waste your money booking this hotel.
15/20 mins walk from Gare du Nord, ok room with heating and good shower although no view. Nice breakfast the next morning and directly opposite the metro so did the job.
