I'm one of those tourists that knew nothing of the area and stuck out like a sore thumb! It was my first time visiting internationally, and I'm so glad I chose this hotel. I will note from the point of view of a Westerner, these might be things you want to keep in mind. The elevator is small and the stairs are steep. The breakfast is in a dining area outside of the hotel, so you do have to leave the building to get there. There's no easy driveway spot for a car to drop you off. If you prefer quiet, you're not really going to find that in the middle of the Old Quarter, as you'll hear noises at all times of night even five floors up (though I personally loved it).

But you know what? I'd stay here again in a heartbeat! Anne the receptionist was so kind and helpful, even remembering me a couple of days later! The hotel is only a block from the lake, and right around the corner from a water puppet theater. The breakfast is amazing every time, and the rooms are oddly spacious for such a skinny building. The bed was firm but very comfortable and clean, and the reception was willing to help answer any questions. The car from the airport to the hotel wasn't a shuttle like I'd have assumed as a Westerner, but it was comfortable and the driver was very polite and helped me get my bags into the hotel. I was offered help at any turn, whether it was figuring out how to call a taxi, picking out where to eat, or even which touristy shops were better for souvenirs.

2泊しました。とても綺麗に清掃されており良かった。2泊目も全てのアメニティが交換されており1泊目と同じ状態で良かったです。
なんと言ってもスタッフがとても親切で対応が良かった。朝食ブュッフェも美味しくスタッフ対応もエクセレント！

Good customer service

ホアンキエム湖が見える、タンロン水上人形劇場のすぐ近くのホテル。入口はこじんまりとしており、エレベーターは歴史を感じるものの、部屋には不都合はなく、なによりスタッフのホスピタリティがよかった。朝食は数軒隣の系列ホテルでサービスされるが、メニューが豊富でフルーツも各種揃っていて十分だった。ホアンキエム湖周辺の繁華街に近いので、便がいい反面、夜は多少賑やかだが、それも現地の楽しみの一つと考えばよいかと。

バルコニーつきのジュニアスイートを予約していましたが、手違いで別のカテゴリーの部屋に通されました。
チェックインした時は疲れていたこともあり｢あれ？ちょっと狭いかな？｣と疑問に感じましたが、慌ただしかったので、とりあえず部屋に入りましたが、予約確認書を見てバルコニーがついてないことに気づいて、レセプションで確認してもらったら、すぐに間違いを認めて対応してくれました。
その日の夜は、バルコニー付きの部屋が満室だったため、翌日から同系列のホテルのバルコニー付きの部屋に泊まれるように手配してくれたことで落ち着きましたが、一晩は違うカテゴリーの部屋に泊まることになりました。
ただ、その時対応してくれたスタッフは何度もお詫びしながら、一生懸命対応してくれたので、ホテルに対してマイナスのイメージはなく、むしろ誠実な接客態度が印象に残りました。

その後、このホテルが素晴らしかったのは、この手違いの件を他のスタッフもきちんと把握して、オプショナルツアーのディスカウントや空港への送迎を、付けてくれたりなど、物心両面でカバーしてくれたことです。
翌日移動した、同系列のホテルのスタッフもきちんとお詫びをして気遣ってくれました。
通された部屋はとてもバルコニー付きの、とても居心地のいい空間でWi-Fiも良好で、旧市街のにぎやかな立地でしたが、喧騒も特に気にならなかったです。(ただし、深夜まで音楽が鳴ってたりするので音に神経質な方は耳栓などを用意した方がいいかも知れません。)
朝食も、たくさんの果物をはじめ、種類豊富で、フォーやパンケーキもオーダーすれば無料で作ってくれて、毎朝つい食べ過ぎてしまうくらい美味しかったです。
系列ホテルを含め、どこも小規模ですが、そのぶんスタッフの気遣いが行き届いて、とても素晴らしい滞在になりました。
どんなに大手のホテルでも、人間のやることですからミスは生じると思いますが、その後の対応ひとつがそのホテルの本当の意味での格を決めるんだなと、改めて実感させられました。

An excellent hotel and great value for money. Room was clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and welcoming and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. `There was quite a lot of street noise but this is to be expected given the location in the old quarter.

I booked suite room with lake view for my family but when i came to check in they gave me triple room. I asked why they gave me the room was not as what I booked? After they made a call to their manager, then they changed the triple room to suites room with road view, they said suites room with lake view no more… i have no choice to accept it as we all tired after long flight.

眺望は非常によく、週末はナイトマーケットの喧騒を部屋から感じられます。
他のホテルのホアンキエム湖レイクビューからするとコストパフォーマンスは高いと思います。
ホアンキエム湖や水上人形劇のみならず、飲食店やスパ、店舗へのアクセスも徒歩1分と利便性は非常に高い。
セットでついていた朝食も美味しく、フォーや饅頭、焼き飯など伝統的なベトナム料理の他、オムレツやパンケーキ、フルーツ、コーヒーなどがブッフェ形式で提供されます。
部屋の設備において冷蔵庫がついていない、鍵が外せない、金庫ロック解除など全て丁寧にご対応頂けました。
他、サービスとして2kgまで2ドルの洗濯サービスなどがあります。

Excellent location in the historical district near shops and restaurants. Excellent service, the hotel manager Tommy is fantastic, super attentive and helpful.

Highly recommend this as a friendly, clean and well located stay in the old quarter. I could see the lake and the street from y room and the staff were super helpful. The rooms are small but what do you expect in the old quarter! Nice bathroom and a lift to get upstairs as these are long narrow buildings.
