The room
The service
Great location, clean room and friendly staff
Like everything
The room was nice a plenty of space with a nice big bed
We were given a code to the key box but when we opened it no key. Was asked 3 times what was my check in time. Told them but they kept asking. With in one hour of checking in they asked to rate them and when was I checking out.
Location, bed was comfy enough. Prints on the wall around the hotel were beautiful. Availability of parking was the best part.
Cleanliness of bathroom and shower was very questionable, no night light, or reading light. Even bedside lamp not working.
There is so much to like about this hotel! It is so great as a family to have two separate bedrooms as well as a living area. Don't let the fact it's near an airport put you off - it's actually a really attractive little area. We walked from the airport and had lots of places to eat within walking distance. We even went to the cinemas on a rainy day! They are almost opposite the hotel. A bit out of town but this could be a good thing if you are heading to the ski fields.
There was a bit of a weird smell coming from the cupboards under the sink in the kitchen. It's not really a kitchen you would use to do full on cooking but very useful just to have breakfast and make coffees etc.
Close to airport
I am 186cm tall and I repeatedly hit my head on the ceiling
Nothing apart from the 1km walk to the airport
Everything. Staff were rude, room not ready by 2pm which is suppose to be check in, rooms were filthy, floor was sticky, missing a light, bed sheets stained, carpet filthy, marks and chips in all walls, black mould in shower, toilet had lots of stains, very outdated, hallway to room was filthy, reception dirty. Could keep going but all and all, don’t ever stay here.
Location and staff
Very average shower
The greeting from the girl on reception was excellent. Quick process and suoer helpful advising eateries/closing times etc. Made us feel valued which was lovely as we were very tired.
The staff member on check in was great (an awesome French girl who had great customer service). The location is great, beautiful view of the Remarkables.
The only reason i am writing this review is to try improve things for whoever is next in this room (Room 115). I only stayed for one night and so none of these things were a major issue but if anybody is staying longer these things should be addressed. One of the table legs is broken. One of the lamps in the room does not work and is also the frame of it is all wobbly. The faucet in the kitchen is leaking - when it is turned on water is coming out at the base of the tap and leaking out on the bench. The shower bracket, where the shower hose attaches is wobbly. And the shower has black mould all around the bottom of the shower... There was also no shampoo/conditioner in the dispenser. My concern with these things is that it costed $250 for the night - i wouldnt expect these multiple concerns to be part of a stay here.
I was only sleeping in my bed for approx. 6 hours as I was doing a night shift but very comfy beds but could have had some lower in height pillows.
everything was fine
Location to the airport was awesome!
We stayed twice. Once before overseas travel and after returning to the country. Different rooms. Both showers were black around the edges and very dirty. Toilet wasn’t clean in both and dirty microwave in one. Shower gel in shower empty.
First stay the air con wouldn’t work - reception told us it was a cold air con only and a plug in heater in the wardrobe. No heating air cons in any rooms, bizarre?
When we returned to the room the air con had decided to work on heat and when I checked the wardrobe - no heater.
Have stayed here previously and will not again, even for the convenience.
The location was perfect, we had an early morning flight so needed to be close to the airport.
I feel the room was overpriced for what we got. Upon walking into the room, there was quite a fusty smell, that could have been a bit of damp. We didn’t arrive until early evening and the window sills were dripping with water, which I do expect in NZ during the winter, but not in a hotel when paying nearly $300 for 1 night. The shower was great but the shower hose had a leak which sprayed everywhere and soaked the whole bathroom. There was water all over the floor and one bath mat didn’t really do the job.
Well equipped kitchen for a studio apartment and had a washing machine and dryer.
Challenging to find the entrance and reception as it was through a restaurant/bar with the reception tucked away at the back.
