I was apprehensive about staying here due to some poor reviews but it was good.
Walking distance from airport took 15 minutes
Bus stop outside - buy a Bee card off driver for 5 dollars the load it with another 10 to 20 dollars . 2 dollars 40 per ride.
Apartment has washer, dryer, cooking facilities.
Yes some things are a bit worn but for price it’s good value.
Some reception staff are a bit sullen but lovely French girl who is very politeminutes
Good to stay.
Reception was stinking.
Near shops
Unsafe.
Location to shops, airport and rental cars.
Good bed.
Room advertised as availability from 1400 not available until nearly 1500.
Still want you out by 1000 the next day.
Shower Broke. No venting for the dryer, the room turned into a sauna. We had to go to a commercial laundry as the clothes didn't dry in the dryer.
Perfect close to all important amenities
Nothing
The hotel is very comfortable with large rooms and a good restaurant downstairs. The receptionist was tres gentil! It's better to stay in Frankton rather than in busy, noisy Queenstown itself unless you don't have transport.
The restaurant was closed early at night. We had to eat at the Holiday Inn nearby.
Very nice room! They utilised the space with everything you need which was great.
One very minor thing which isn’t a big deal was the floors could be cleaned a bit more.
Location was good for us
The property looks a bit run down, the dining area didn’t look inviting. Also carpet in our room in a terrible state, furnishings etc looking tired.
Good location and laundry facilities.
Small room with an awful smell that seamed to linger long after you leave. No opening windows and no clean air. Shower had black sills inside base. Very dated and not what we expected from the photos and price. Check in online procedure is drawn out and doesn't save you from interigation and second check in at reception. Very unfriendly feel from staff communications before and during stay.

Location
Enjoyed everything
The location and front staff were great.
Our room was very tired considering it's not an old complex. The carpet was very stained, paint missing on walls and doors. The hand soap dispenser in the bathroom had fallen off (previously) and stuck onto the mirror but the hole in the wall was still exposed! Some maintenance is required. Very limited TV channels also. For the price we paid and what we got were miles apart.
Nothing went well.
My wife and I stayed here February 20–22, 2026, during a three-week trip to New Zealand celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. Out of eleven hotels, this was by far our worst stay — and our most expensive. Check-in was dismissive, with staff more focused on a personal phone than on guests. Our room was filthy: dirty, food-littered, tired, and dilapidated carpeting, smudged and dirty walls, and a washing machine repurposed as a toiletry shelf. The bathroom was a botched conversion with a mismatched false ceiling. Cooking odors from kitchenette units permeated the hallways — we dreaded returning each evening. When we raised these issues, the hotel's General Manager never responded. Wyndham corporate customer service was equally unhelpful, ultimately suggesting we place an international long-distance call ourselves to resolve the matter. That says everything about how this brand values its guests.
