Hotel MarBrissa

We went to Puerto Barrios, Guatemala, staying at Marbrissa Hotel, the staff were friendly and very helpful, our room was clean but poorly maintained, the bathroom also. After our first couple of hours we noticed a bad leak on the toilet reservoir connecting to the bowl, the staff put us in another room, all was fine. Again the unit was clean but poorly maintained.
In general, the hotel was acceptable but being 20 plus years old and not well maintained or painted well either. Sad as this is a nice place to relax with a nice swimming pool.

Necesita invertir en renovar alguna infraestructura. Se llega en vehículo.

This was the only hotel that could be booked online via hotels.com. All the other hotels in the area cannot be booked online. Unfortunately, the hotel is not maintained well. The shower in the hotel is so weird that people can see you showering because of the way the windows are. You basically have to duck so that no one can see you while showering. The price is twice the average rate of the hotel in the area. For the price, you can get lot better hotels in even Guatemala City. I will never recommend this place to anyone. The wifi dint work and needed a reset every few minutes. The bathrooms were not clean at all. Definitely not worth the price that they are charging.

¿Han oído eso de en país de ciegos el tuerto es rey? Pues eso pasa con este hotel, es el mejor de Puerto Barrios pero solamente porque los otros son pésimos.

Buen servicio en el comedor. El teléfono en la habitación no servía, lo reporte de inmediato y nunca se molestaron en repararlo o traerme otro de otra habitación.
La ubicación no es buena, no se puede caminar a ningún restaurante ni alguna actividad pues queda en un barrio bastante inconveniente.
