One of the most comfortable hotels I’ve ever stayed. From the cleanliness, the food and more importantly the staff. First time I was actually able to sleep soundly in a hotel room. First time ever felt comfortable using shower.
Excellent hotel in a great location. Very friendly staff (Saksham on reception, for example). I arrived early in the morning from an overnight flight & was upgraded to a nicer room that was available straight away. A great experience!
From the moment we checked into the hotel until we left, we were met by friendly hotel staffers. Thank you, Alisha for the helpful info at pre-check in, Geoff who made us feel so welcomed and everyone just goes out of their way to make our vacation memorable. Really appreciate the warm vibe here. Photo is of hot tub and outdoor lounge area next to the pool, a great space.
Nothing, we didn’t want to leave.
The Paradox Vancouver is such a beautiful, clean, reasonably priced hotel and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is close to the cruise terminal and easy to get to from the Vancouver Airport. We took hop on/off Big bus tour of the city which was a great way to visit the sites. Our tour guide, Sherry was so informative and has a great sense of humor. We would definitely recommend staying at the Paradox and taking the Big Bus!
Sakchem was extremely friendly and made our stay very memorable. Our room was amazing. Every staff member we encountered was so polite, the Paradox should be proud of such a great staff.
Stayed 2 nights during a Seattle <> Vancouver <> Victoria roadtrip with my mum. Our first time in Canada and we could have not asked for a better stay.
We were given an higher floor room with stunning city / water views and what a treat that was 🙂
My mum had a bit of a health scare during our stay and Andrew the Chief Concierge went above and beyond to reassure me.
I loved the hotel so much that I would choose it again in a heartbeat if I’m ever back in Vancouver.
I could not fault anything
Service was great and free room upgrade on check in unexpected

Good location near water and downtown
Access via a rear lane way and rooms were neither cleaned well nor easy to use the controls. It looks great but the delivery was a bit underwhelming
Very accommodating hospitality and we appreciated the amenities!
From the moment we walked my mom and I were greeted by all the staff with happiness and a smile. We felt very welcomed in the establishment. Everyone single person was willing to go above and beyond expectation. The rooms were beautiful, bed comfortable and clean. This will be the place I always stay at when I come to Vancouver. Thank you all for your hospitality. A very happy customer.
Excellent service and very helpful staff. Room was great . Restaurant has high quality food and breakfast also although breakfast only ala carte.
Spacious and very modern room.
It is in the middle of city close to the shops.very nice bar and pool
Every time I’ve visited the Paradox the experience has been great. The rooms are lovely and always in good clean condition.
This particular trip I was assisted by the lovely Saksham at the front desk who made my visit truly memorable by offering exceptional service and made my journey a smooth and seamless experience.
Friendly staff and comfortable, modern hotel

My stay at the hotel did not start off well. I was greeted warmly at check-in and asked the standard questions, but the interaction changed when I asked of it was possible to have dinner in one of the hotels restaurants. I was informed that Karma was closed, and then told that Mott 32 was open. The associate asked if I had reservations, and when I said I did not, he laughed at me. He immediately realized this was inappropriate and apologized, but then proceeded to explain “reservation culture” and stated that reservations are needed for restaurants throughout the greater BC area. While I unsee reservations are often recommended, in my past experiences at hotel of this caliber there is usually some
Accommodation or assistance offered for hotel guests. I expressed that expectation, and I was then told that although the restaurants are located within the hotel, they are not associated with the hot and I would need to make reservations on my own. The interaction left me feeling frustrated and unwelcome at the very beginning of my stay. After freshening up, I returned downstairs to ask if there were any alternative options for dinner and drinks. I explained that I was surprised Karma was closed, especially since the website did not indicate this. At that point, the associate informed me the restaurant had been closed for months and insisted the website clearly stated it was closed. I explained that this was not correct and that, in fact, the opposite appeared to be true. When visiting the Karma webpage, there was even a pop-up indicating they were hiring. I was then asked to provide proof, which honestly surprised me. Rather than continued the discussion further, I simple asked for recommendations to nearby properties where I could dine instead. Unfortunately, the associate was unable to provide any clear recommendations, as the conversation continued circling back to the closure of Karma. I eventually walked away from the interaction. Fortunately, I then encountered the valet, who was absolutely wonderful. She provided clear and concise recommendations and directions and was genuinely pleasant and helpful. Her professionalism and kindness significantly improved my evening. The remainder of my was very enjoyable, particularly when I did not need to interact with the front desk staff. That said, the weather was surprisingly perfect, and the hotel room itself was lovely, comfortable, and well-appointed. I wanted to share this feedback because the property itself is beautiful, but the front desk experience did not reflect the level of hospitality I expected.
