The Paradox hotel is a luxury hotel in downtown Vancouver that offers gorgeous views over the city in spacious, modern rooms. The bathtubs with a view through floor to ceiling windows are a great touch.
There was some major construction happening so accessing the hotel required a long detour through a back alley. Not the most pleasant experience.
The amenities were overpriced. I wanted to surprise my partner with a little champagne but even the small bottles were exorbitant. I guess I should just bring my own next time.
This hotel not only met my expectations, but it exceeded my expectations. The staff, were really friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our experience was extremely enjoyable. From the time we arrived greeted my Marty who genuinely cared about the hotel guests. I had an issue with a taxi driver which had nothing to do with the hotel, and both Marty and Andrew (The Concierge) went above & beyond to have it corrected. I can't talk highly enough of my experience with this hotel, l would have no reservations about recommending this hotel and l would definitely consider staying there again and again.
The hotel is close to the best restaurants in town.
The hotel offers in-room dining, but the service was unavailable during my stay. The hairdryer in the room was also broken. The lounge area only accepts reservations, and this information was not clearly communicated, so I went there expecting to enjoy the space but was unable to access it.
The hotel also has a limited selection of wine and champagne available for guests to purchase, which was disappointing.
On the positive side, the bedroom was comfortable, and the staff were very polite and helpful. However, aside from the comfortable room and friendly service, I would recommend keeping expectations realistic. Too overpriced for what they offer.
I had an amazing stay at Paradox Hotel Vancouver. I stayed for about a week, and every aspect of my experience was consistently outstanding.
It's right in downtown Vancouver and within easy walking distance of so many places.
The dining was outstanding and every meal I had was excellent. The service throughout my stay was exceptional as well. Housekeeping even folded and neatly packed my T-shirts while servicing the room, which was such an unexpected and thoughtful touch.
The room itself was beautiful, comfortable, and impeccably maintained. Everything about the stay exceeded my expectations.
Paradox has set the bar incredibly high. The next time I'm in Vancouver, I can't see myself staying anywhere else.
First time at Paradox, even though we are such frequenters to Vancouver (mostly staying at Georgia), thought of trying this time due to busy football (soccer) season.
The hotel architecture, ambiance and how welcoming everyone was - became the highlight of our stay. The staff at check in, concierge, housekeeping, pool-hot tub, and our time at the Karma Lounge were spectacular.
The music quality at the lounge and the cadre of staff made every visit to the lounge memorable and enjoyable.
The most negative aspect of this stay was our short visit to the Chinese restaurant the Mott, that appears to be hiding behind their facade of being elevated and different style of Chinese dining.
For my work I have visited multiple high end restaurants in China (Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guanzhau ) and many other countries. I have come to learn and appreciate that Chinese dining is all about celebration of food, generosity and abundance. This restaurant is most unfriendly, poor food (quality, serving and amount), and remarkably overpriced… at this level of pricing everything should have a story to tell, style and culture to diners’ experience… we only tried a few simple dishes and were appalled at the quality of food, how they tasted and how they were served. For example the gentleman who brought the mushroom dumplings to the table could not describe the dish as he placed it on our table… dry dumplings with no sauce or anything…
The Chinatown restaurant perhaps and will invariably treat you much better..
If I owned Paradox, I would break away from this restaurant and not advertise in your website.
Comparably, your lounge and many other restaurants across Vancouver standby the essence of hospitality and treat visiting guests in most special way.
We love staying at the Paradox! We came down from Whistler to go to a World Cup game, and we planned to valet our car and drop our bags off at the front desk since it was before the usual check-in time. But we were pleasantly surprised when the lovely guy at the desk said our room was ready and we were able to check in!
The rooms are so luxurious, and the location is perfect. This was probably our 4th or 5th time staying there, and it wont be the last.
The hotel was beautiful and the service was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. As if that weren't enough, they upgraded our room upon return from our cruise . They made us feel very special and we would highly recommend this hotel.
Stayed one night at the Paradox, and it was my first time staying there. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was excellent, the location is fantastic, and the service really stood out.
The front desk team went above and beyond to help me throughout my stay. A special thank you to Saksham at the front desk for the outstanding service and professionalism.
Overall, it was a great experience, and I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!
Very nice hotel and rooms. Nicely place!
Thanks Saksham for the excellent welcome!
Samih was a great housekeeper,he made sure our room was cleaned and organized for each day of our stay ,his cleaning was verry outstanding and creative , the whole hotel stuff was nice and respectful,I 100% recommend this elegant hotel !
