goed verblijf maar ontbijt viel tegen

Een groot hotel met een goede locatie. Wij verbleven in een soort dependance en hadden daar een ruime, rustige en prima kamer. Dat vonden we erg prettig.

Het ontbijt viel ons helaas wat tegen. Het was erg massaal en druk, mede door de vele Amerikaanse gasten. Ook vonden we de hygiëne in de ontbijtruimte niet optimaal; de tafels waren niet altijd schoon en de stoelen waren wat oud en smoezelig. Ook het ontbijt zelf vonden we daardoor wat minder prettig.

Verder hebben we een prima verblijf gehad, vooral vanwege de rustige kamer en de goede ligging.

Cons:

We only stayed for one night so we managed but the hotel is old and in need of restorarion. The room was clean but there was hardly any water coming out of the shower. Breakfast was Ok but with not much variety. In addition it is not cheap. We will not stay in the hotel in our way back from Orkney

Pros:

Nous avons apprécié le côté « pittoresque » de l’hôtel. Il faut s’attendre à un hôtel typiquement écossais (déco, aménagement). Nous avons passé une bonne nuit durant notre périple. Le petit déjeuner était très bon et le personnel serviable. Le bonus est le restaurant qui vient à point à bec des plats traditionnels.

Perfect place for a quick getaway
Pros:

Perfect location , great breakfast , room was very clean, 5 minutes walk to the beach. Special compliment to the lady at the reception, she was very nice and great customer service.
