Pros:

Location was good

Cons:

We only stayed for one night so we managed but the hotel is old and in need of restorarion. The room was clean but there was hardly any water coming out of the shower. Breakfast was Ok but with not much variety. In addition it is not cheap. We will not stay in the hotel in our way back from Orkney

Pros:

Nous avons apprécié le côté « pittoresque » de l’hôtel. Il faut s’attendre à un hôtel typiquement écossais (déco, aménagement). Nous avons passé une bonne nuit durant notre périple. Le petit déjeuner était très bon et le personnel serviable. Le bonus est le restaurant qui vient à point à bec des plats traditionnels.

Perfect place for a quick getaway
Pros:

Perfect location , great breakfast , room was very clean, 5 minutes walk to the beach. Special compliment to the lady at the reception, she was very nice and great customer service.

Very basic but ok for 1 night.
Pros:

It was close to the ferry and the town centre

Cons:

There was no lift and our room was on the second floor. No one offered to help with the luggage. The shower didn’t work properly and breakfast was barely edible.

Very disappointed
Pros:

Went for a bar meal last night and we won’t be going back anytime soon. We ordered prawn cocktails- well it consisted of lots of lettuce and some prawns- no tomatoes lemon etc and a slice of bread and butter. For £7 something it’s a rip off. Then our main meal arrives, husband ordered lasagne but scampi was served to him. He told the waiter this, and he questioned my husband with ‘are you sure’ really!!! So I’m afraid we won’t be going back. It’s such a pity as it used to be a good place to eat but not now and it was quite apparent as for being a Saturday night there were only 5 tables occupied which used to be unheard of in the Pentland.

A great place to break our journey after a long day’s driving.
