It was clean
It is 1 mile further from the arena than advertised. We know for a fact because we had to walk it.
The hotel is located across from the railroad tracks which made it very noisy. The hotel is old and run down. I was very disappointed with the room, bed, and the elevator was awful. Our room was close to the elevator and every time it opened or closed, it made a terrible noise. It is very expensive for the quality of the hotel.

June, 2026 Visit
We were in Cheyenne for two nights, for a concert at the Civic Center, and we rightly picked the Fairfield Inn.
Nice and comfortable rooms. Great breakfasts. Fantastically friendly and helpful staff.
One example of going above and beyond was help from Annie and her husband!! We brought a deflated soccer ball and a hand pump to inflate it… and the hand pump would not work. When I asked if the hotel had one, Annie shared that it does not and that most local car tire pumps can’t handle ball needles and she offered, and had, her husband bring their pump, and he did. When I asked him how I could pay back to thank them (their sons came, too), he shared no need to repay, because helping one another is “what makes America great.” Later that evening, and on the rest of our trip, our daughter and I had fun kicking the ball, thanks to Annie and her husband - THANK YOU!!!
We stayed here eight years ago and we will stay here in on our next visit to Cheyenne!
Breakfast was very good.
Had a nice efficient check in. Clean lobby area. Variety of breakfast foods. Lobby people very friendly.
The downsides were a broken toilet seat that was reported after check in and never fixed during our 3 night stay .
The mattress had a severe dip in the middle-like heavy hitters had slept on it for decades. Every spring was felt on our backs.
We talked to the front desk manager after the first night in hopes for a new mattress or room. She had to speak with the GM and was informed to try flipping the mattress and adding an extra comforter for the springs. When asked about switching rooms, it was not an option per the GM .
After the second night, I spent the day looking for a massage to help with the coils in the mattress. The mattress improved slightly after the flip, but SO far from comfortable.
Furniture and mattresses need replaced periodically.
Would also be nice to have a light and electrical on both sides of the bed.
Overall, it is a nice place for the location and breakfast.
Not good at all for restful sleeping.
The lobby is beautiful so I had high hopes. But as soon as we checked into our room, the floors weren’t clean and had to call housekeeping to vacuum. I found 3 long black hairs on the clean towels. The beds weren’t terrible and we fairly comfortable, but the pillows could be a lot better. The pool was one of the main attractions for us, but it definitely needs some work. The water was cloudy and there was a large hairball at the bottom that I had to sweep into the filter before getting in. There were several other hairballs throughout the swim and dirt on the bottom of the hot tub. Overall this place was not very clean.
Breakfast was ok, but nothing to write home about. We won’t be staying here again.
I'd absolutely stay here again. Our 2 queen room on the 4th floor was clean and comfortable. We were on the side opposite the railroad tracks and it was quiet (I've seen other reviews mention train noise but we heard nothing).
The morning breakfast was great too. Waffles, eggs, coffee, etc are all available and the dining area wasn't crowded.
Clean, friendly staff
Quiet rooms and clean
Distance from town
Our room was nice and spacious. The bathroom was one of the nicest, cleanest we've experienced at a hotel. Breakfast was good.
The elevators were very noisy, shaky and a little terrifying.
