Very friendly Staff, Bed was extremely comfy. The Decor, a little dated was oozing decadence from a lavish era, had quite the charm, providing excellent value for money.
Position of hptel suuted our needs. Price was vry good.
Separate shower and toilet

Excellent food and pleasant helpful staff
Bedroom flooring. Beds getting tired.
felt like i was in premier inn, room was amazing and spacious
seems there is a curfew which we werent told so arrving back late at night after a night out apparently was problematic
The staff were very nice and friendly and accommodating and I fealt very welcomed in there hotel. Also the Hotel in general was really good for example with the nice rooms and things and I also really enjoyed the Nepalese and Indian food they do its very tasty and lovely. Thank you so much for accommodating me and the food and drink it was really much appreciated, kind regards.
I know my room was nice and clean and I really liked my room thank you. Only two things I fealt the floor was a trip hazard even when it was dry I slidded on that type of wooden floor when I walked in a few especially with wearing socks on. The other thing was you couldn't control heating setting for the radiators in the room, other than those two things very good thank you.
The hotel is handy for Nottingham, Derby, East Midlands airport and the M1.
The restaurant serves really good Indian cuisine with some Nepali specialties. There is a good choice for vegetarians.
We asked for an Indian breakfast which was delicious.
The hotel has recently changed management and the new managers were excellent hosts and they both went the extra mile to make us welcome and to make our stay comfortable.
The hotel is just across the street from a canal path which is a secret nature corridor through to Trent Lock.
There are lots of vegetarian options on the menu- a vegetarian ‘chefs Special’ would be a nice addition.
Be careful to register your car for car parking as the car park is managed by a private company.
Location was convenient, there was parking.
On arrival the person manning reception seemed hesitant and a bit distant, not the warm friendly welcome expected.
I arrived around 1530hrs and the sofas in reception were piled with what looked like all the clean linen for the hotel. When I left around 0730hrs the next morning (reception unmanned and in total darkness), they were still there. Not a good look.
I considered eating in the restaurant as I do love a Ghurka curry. However, the menu on the top of the pile in reception (not a take-away menu) had prices overwritten in dodgy black marker pen. Taken with the apparent lack of interest in moving the linen, this told me that someone in management doesn’t are or is not skilled in customer service.
When I returned later, I went to the bar for a drink. But the bar was a cold uninspiring spot right next to the kitchen doors. No one was serving, there was limited and inappropriate seating. Very poor design and layout.
The room (Room 6) initially impressed me, particularly the shower, though it seemed to have take ages for hot water to come through.
However, the lighting was poor, the choices were too bright or too dark. The bedside lights were out of reach when in bed. The quarter round trim around the tiles by the shower have nails sticking up, one of which very nearly stabbed me. The towel rail is entirely pointless as it is unheated. The toilet is unheated, the toilet seat is fitted at an angle and the toilet paper holder id broken, causing the roll to fall off in use.
I acknowledge that the price point for my stay was competitive but all of the things mentioned are hospitality 101 items. Who is doing checks on maintenance items? Who is ensuring housekeeping are managing deliveries? Who is driving customer service?
Clean, easy great value for our one night stay
Needs a mirror in the bedroom, as the only one was in the bathroom, which was in use whilst u was getting changed.
No breakfast.
The bed, the staff, the cleaner....
It says good breakfast on booking .com but they don't do breakfast. Probably would of been curry anyway.
Awful place. Awful staff. Very rude. I mistakenly left with a key to the room on check out. I'd been downstairs three times but no one was there and no were to leave the key. In the chaos of waiting about and me now running late I thought I'd left the key on the bed but it was in my pocket when I got back to Chesterfield so I rang them. The woman was so rude to me and demanded I bring it back immediately and put the phone down, I rang back again and she did it again. Three times in total she put the phone down on me all whilst I'm trying to explain that I've just got off the train in chesterfield so it was impossible to get back to long Eaton,Nottingham
My bed was broken. It has been smashed to bits underneath of it and roughly put back together with nails sticking up and out of it. I cut my finger on one when I went to tuck the sheet in.
The place stinks like a corner shop aswell, like curry, smelly farts and bad breath. Absolutely awful
The location was central to the centre
It was extremely noisy and the staff did nothing to address
The room is spacious, clean and noise levels around the area are minimal
Staff very helpful
Perfect location as we were attending a wedding at Limas restaurant. The family room was a great size for us and our 2 children.
We had no toilet roll and as the doors shut at 11:00 we had to call ahead to get access to the building. Not a problem though as we were met as we came up to the doors .
