Grand Mercure Mysore

Hotel is very run down, with carpet stains, the sheets on the bed had stains also. Breakfast was not tasty and getting waffles was a struggle, live food stations outside was not well managed.

When we checked in we had no towels in our room.

We would not consider staying here again.

Me and wife were doing a road trip via Mysuru. We stayed at this hotel for 5 days.

This should not be called 5 star hotel. The staff, specially at the reception were busy with themselves, not sure what kind of gossips last days. Not once, twice - every single day we stayed there. Even when approached for simple things like “checking out” they acted like they are doing us a favour.

The in-room dining gave us wrong order twice. We called 3 times, at the reception, no help. We got our “missing” order 2.5 hours after we ordered; at that point we simply refused. No apologies from them, they didnt care. The security staff at the door was more attentive than everyone inside the building. Even at the breakfast, they hardly were attentive to anyone. Outside of this hotel, Mysuru people are warm and full of hospitality, you will not feel that way in this hotel.

Rooms arent big either, that would have been ok if the hospitality was at all there.

I loved Mysuru, but will never go back to this hotel.

recently stayed at Grand Mercure Mysore, and it was a really good experience overall. The hotel is well-located in the city, so getting to popular places like Mysore Palace and Chamundi Hills was very easy. It’s in a central area, which made getting around quite convenient whether by car or auto.

Very neat and clean rooms. The bed was one of the best. Really helpful staff. The Buffet Breakfast had lots of variety, especially loved the rice semiya. Perfect location with 120 kw ev charging station.

We had a really good experience at Grand Mercure Mysore, and I wanted to appreciate a few people who made our stay even better.

At the restaurant, Himankhi was outstanding. Her service was warm, attentive, and very genuine. She checked on us at the right moments and made sure we were comfortable throughout our meal. Her way of taking care of guests really stood out.

At the front desk, Arjun was extremely helpful. He handled everything smoothly, answered our questions patiently, and made the whole check-in experience feel effortless. His professionalism and friendly approach made a big difference.

I also want to mention Darshan from the front office, who helped us with our luggage and car. He was quick, polite, and very supportive. And Samal from housekeeping did a great job keeping our room clean and well arranged during our stay.

Overall, the team made our stay pleasant and hassle-free. We appreciate their effort and would be happy to come back again.

The hotel has a nice, welcoming ambience and the rooms were clean and quite relaxing.
Tried both of the in-house restaurants and enjoyed the food in each — the buffet breakfast was also really good with plenty of options.
Service was smooth and overall the experience felt easy and enjoyable.

Stayed two days. Great hotel. Quick check in. Well maintained lobby. Good food. Well cleaned rooms, well maintained bathroom. Pool location is good and water is clean.

We stayed in the Hotel for 2 days overall the experience was good but there are rooms for improvement like the breakfast menu was not at par as a 5 star. The room size were little small but the staff's behaviour was very good. The property has a roof top swimming pool which was maintained properly. Overall it was a good experience.

Prabhat and Tapas were very good host.
Centrally located, good for corporate events. Good team of people.

It is hard to believe that this prime hotel of the Accor chain could be this bad. The hot water didn’t work. The plumber who fixed it left a mess in the bathroom. It took 3 calls to reception and 2 hours to get someone to come and clean the mess. The food in the restaurant was very mediocre. The service was not up to the usual Indian standards. The visa machine didn’t work on checkout. Our driver was given very poor accommodations and reported that the washrooms were unusable and he had to sleep at another hotel. He was not provided with water to wash his car etc etc

Very good experience. Rooms and restaurants are neat and clean. Spa services are great. And location of the hotel is amazing . Tourist places are quite nearby!

Grand Mercure Mysore failed to meet even basic expectations, let alone those of a 5-star property. We encountered inattentive staff, incomplete room furnishings, bathroom fixtures stained with salt and water marks, and flies hovering around the breakfast area. Alarmingly, we have experienced significantly better service and cleanliness at other 3-star and 4-star hotels in Mysore. This property is undeserving of its 5-star reputation.

We were family of 4 and booked a suite studio room at Grand Mercure Mysuru. Though it is placed at the right location, the hotel lacks the comfort and quality.
To start with, the bed was sunken and had to change the room , the corridors are left with left over food plates from the guests and they stay through out till you call the housekeeping or reception to clean it.
The bathrooms are very small with a tub attached . The water outlets are usually blocked causing water logging throughout.
The buffet breakfast is average, definitely not upto the standard of other similar hotels around.
They do have a high-tea with decent chai/coffee but snacks provided were horrible. Instead, they can serve basic cookies with coffee/tea.
Finally, the duty Managers are pathetic who doesn't have any interest to take the feedbacks from the guests.

Buffet quality was poor with infrequent turnover of many items. Best to ask for certain items from the kitchen to ensure it’s fresh. Staff were excellent. Room was tired, so was the smoke smelling room I was transferred from. Definitely not 5 star hotel but at the price point it was fine. Would consider other 5 star options in Mysore next time.
