Nice hotel, with a few issues
Pros:

Lovely room, very spacious and good views.

Cons:

Breakfast cancelled.
Shower didn't work well.
Car parking was tricky as it was first in worst served and if you left even for a short time someone else could take the park and l9cal parking was fairly full.

Pros:

The room was clean and adequate for the price.

Cons:

The accommodation is very loud, so you can hear other guests coming and going and moving around the hotel throughout the night. I was woken 5 times during the night so it was very disruptive for a midweek stay.
Overnight parking outside the hotel is £20.

Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

The rooms were unbearably hot with no air conditioning, and we were only given a tiny fan. Since the windows couldn’t be opened, the room felt like a sauna at night and made sleeping extremely uncomfortable. The rooms are very outdated, with ugly, dirty brown carpets, and the whole space felt dusty. We were constantly sneezing and had watery eyes whenever we were in the room. Avoid this place.

Good location and close to the centre
Pros:

The staff were very friendly and organised a parking space. It's a few minutes walk to the Barbican, where all the action is but it's on a quiet street

Ok for a short stay but the hotel not what it used to be.
Pros:

Location is fantastic.
Has a bar with some bottled beers and snacks

Cons:

Have stayed here at various times for work over many years and the standards have been going down and more so in recent times.
Cleanliness of the rooms with dirty hand prints and kick marks on the doors and grubby marks on the light switches. Bulb missing on the bathroom mirror and rusty shower basket. Carpets hadn't been vacuumed properly. No coffee in the room. Hair in the bath.
Don't serve breakfast anymore.
