Hotel was clean and Staff was very nice. 👍
Everything was great. But, although the pool was lovely, it could have been cleaned better: their was a floating bag of chips and a water bottle, and way too many leaves, floating and at the bottom.
Room was very spacious, very good shower. Breakfast was included and it was good. We had an electric vehicle, just wish they had a charging station in ground.
Habitaciones cómodas y limpias. Todo excelente.
Buen lugar, acogedor y conveniente
A nice quiet and comfortable little hotel. Nice friendly staff. The room was comfortable, clean and nice beds.
I was there with my parents. Very spacious place. Very basic. Good money/quality ratio.
Overall this is a good place, but could use some cleaning in some areas of the premises.
Rooms were clean and the beds are confortable.
Large, clean, basic room. Pool area large but needs allot of attention. Water appeared less clear than I would have liked. Many severely ripped and damaged pool loungers really detracted from the area. Just getting rid of those would help spruce it up. Good for a quick overnight stay from a long days drive back to the beach.
No me gusto porque le faltó mucha limpieza en todo el establecimiento, especialmente en el baño. El desayuno muy malo.
The hotel looked good, but once in the room, it was something else. The room was not very clean, most of the lights were burned out. We could hear everything coming from other rooms. Neighbours has a fight in the middle of the night and woke us up. Very little unformation given at the reception. The pool and the grounds could use some cleaning.
This property is a good stopping point along the way. The room was large and clean but the shower was cold. I did not have any problems with the rate and paid exactly as listed.
Arrived a little bit late but there was no problems at check in, everything went well. For a one night stay and next to the highway this is a good hotel to stay at.
The property was okay for the money. The staff was not that friendly. We ate the breakfast in the morning and it was average.
This hotel is on lovely grounds that are lush and green. From the outside, it looked great. The room itself was okay—very big. The bathroom was a huge disappointment. Absolutely no counter space and it is in dire need of an update. The tile in the shower felt clean but certainly didn’t look it. The pool and surrounding were great and relaxing. Best part was dinner—food was delicious and service was wonderful even though our poor server had to put up with our limited Spanish. We’ve seen really great places and some so-so places in Costa Rica. Maybe I’m just a gringo with expectations that are too high.
Buena
Hotel conveniente para una estadia corta. Habitaciones limpias y ordenadas.
Hotel is great if you need to stop for 1 night while driving to another part of the country. This is not a tourist area at all.It is easy to locate, on route 21 so you don't need to drive through the busy, confusing streets of Nicoya. Grounds are beautifully maintained with exotic flowers and trees. The pool area is also quite nice. The rooms are very clean and you are given free toiletries (soap, shampoo, slippers, toothbrushes and even a hair comb) Typical CR breakfast is included (eggs, rice, bread) and was alright. The only negative part of my stay is upon check-in. I had booked this hotel about 10 days in advance. It was discounted 25 or 30%on Orbitz And a few other travel sites so a great deal at 65$/night. This is a "pay when you stay" booking. When I got to the lobby I was told the price was 90$ The gentleman refused to honor my reservation saying my price did not include taxes. I showed him my print out with the price breakdown clearly showing the taxes added. He made a few phone calls to the manager, which I had to speak to as well. (He was sighing loudly the whole time). Only after emailing her my reservation did she honor my booking.I especially did not like her comment on how "she will let it go this time" like they were doing me a favor!
When we first arrived, some of the curtains were hanging off the rod. The room has a dark wood ceiling and dark painted walls...and very small light bulbs. One of the two lamps did not work. The hot and cold water handles in the shower were backwards, so the first morning we had to take cold showers. The internet for most of the time we were there did not reach our room. At dinner a friend of ours found a screw in her food...while she ate. It chipped one of her teeth. One of the nights we were there we found a large scorpion in our bathroom.
Because of my husbands health, we took an electric skillet to cook his food. The last night of our stay (we stayed 3 nights), the receptionist came to us and told us there would be a $50 fee because we had cooked in the room. She showed us a paper that stated cooking in the room was not allowed...we never had received the paper, nor did the posting for the room on expedia state that it was not allowed. I gave her a list of the complaints we had made, and reminded her that we had never requested a discount in our bill to compensate for our inconvenience
. She tried to make me feel guilty by saying that the girl who had checked us in was going to have to pay the $5o herself. I was sorry, but that was not my problem. In the end they did not charge us, but it was very unpleasant.
