We will stay there again the next time we visit Ascona.
Pros:

The view of Lago Maggiore was spectacular, as was the balcony overlooking the promenade. The Riva Ristorante was excellaent, the breakfast was also excellent, the staff were helpful. The beds were comfortable.

Cons:

The bathroom is too small. The room is rather small for the price.
