Old school but clean with friendly staff
Pros:

Old school sense of service, staff friendly and helpful. Limited English but that's pretty normal for Japan. Hotel isn't new but everything works as it should and is well maintained and very clean. Also it's on a quiet street but not far from the station. There's a complimentary free coffee machine dispensing freshly ground coffee on the ground floor. Lifesaver! Be sure to book a non-smoking floor unless you are a smoker. Unfortunately Japan still has a lot of cigarette smokers and hotels accommodate smokers on specific floors.

Cons:

Not sure how but cigarette smoke from another floor kept entering my room intermittently (- unfortunately I'm super sensitive to this). Staff immediately changed my room and all was OK.

Great experience, no hassle
Pros:

Easy access and perfect for foreign tourists since checking in is very as well

Cons:

Not much really. If you are taller you might have some issues with the shower, but that issue you will have pretty much anywhere in Japan

Shower room without shower curtain, so it gets wet on the floor everytime one takes the shower.

Pros:

The hotel is close to the railway station and the seafood market. The staff here is super polite and nice. The room is well equipped, especially the bathroom is very large. Overall, the hotel is much more than two stars. Highly recommended!!!
