Ok for a short stay. Queenstown is very quiet. Locals ver friendly.
Pros:

Central location. Quirky.

Cons:

Bar shut at 8 pm even to residents. Overpriced for what you get. Breakfast was a bowl of cereal (4 choices), toast and jam or honey, coffee and tea and a piece of fruit.

Enjoyed the visit, the heritage was a plus and room was adequate. Hated the stair climb.
Pros:

Centrally located opposite the West Coast Wilderness Railway Station. Easy access to the main street. Lots of historic charm. Meals were good - typical pub fare. The heritage of the Hotel was a big plus

Cons:

Lack of off street parking was an issue - especially as it gets busy with the West Coast Railway being so popular.
As a disabled person, the lack of a lift or disabled access was very problematic. The steep, heritage listed stairs are beautiful but impractical for anyone with poor mobility. The Hotel really should consider putting in a lift somewhere.

Issue with music playing late and then starting early again (5am) at the pub below. Continental breakfast was very very basic.

Was ripped off for our dinner. 2 rump steaks at $41 doesn’t add up to $88. Soured the stay
Pros:

The ambience of the lounge
