NOTHING!! I like NOTHING .....the hotel is not a real hotel it is a dump a real genuine DUMP people should not stay; there animals should not stay there....GARBAGE belongs at EL-ELYON Hotel Accra,Ghana!! PLEASE stay away people!!
The staff were lovely and tried their best to be helpful but lacked the training and knowledge to do a good job. The hotel water pump was faulty or they didn't want to leave it on, so no regular running water. Cobwebs, dust and dead insects in the corners of rooms. Very poor wifi connections. We would not stay at this place again.
I had stayed at El-Elyon hotel a few years ago and found it to be okay and this time around I decided to use them again. There was some initial discussion about the rate I had paid being wrong but I insisted as I had done the booking on Hotels.com after which it was resolved. The location is great and close to where I needed to be.The room was clean and the service was professional. However, there were minor repairs that needed to be done to make it a much better experience. I spent four nights (initially three but extended) and on day two and three I complained several times about the wardrobe cabinet door as the hinge had given way when I opened it. On day three, I tried to open the bed cabinet and that also fell off. Despite my multiple feedback to the staff at the reception, those items were not fixed until I left.
I will use them again but I believe that promptly sorting out minor issues like these would go a long way towards creating a more enjoyable experience overall.
The hotel is centrally located in Osu. However, it is definitely dated. The pictures online are definitely not of the hotel we stayed in. Our room was a double bed room that at first looked decent. The bedding was modern. One bed was slightly misshaped. The room was not super big- no couch or extra room to move around. The bathroom was a decent size, but had some cleanliness issues with spiders in the corners and mold around the bathtub. The shower was only handheld and the curtains we're old.
I hope that the hotel improves some of the little things that are mentioned above. The location is great and a little bit of care would make it a great place to stay again.
Staff explained hotel is under new management and that updates will be done.
It was ok for us and conveniently located. Food was ok and staff very helpful.
