Great Northern Hotel

Room clean and the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent both morning and i dinner in the bar on the Saturday night

I’m quite disabled on crutches no space in room plus only 2 pillows

Need new beds (mattresses were warn with broken springs) and shower enclosures need updated. Also the first floor windows have little to no security when open (no air conditioning) and can be opened completely if someone was seeking to enter your room.

Room dull. Windows very dirty but nothing to view anyway. Could not use shower as was far to hot tried to control but no luck

Rooms dated and expensive

Was supposed to check in at 16 hours nearly an hour late to give us room key would not hold onto our cases until check in time as we arrived early Going out next morning shower not working so was impossible for us to wash a basic in all accommodations no heating room was actually very cold at night kept having to go down to reception and asking them to put heating on as it must be controlled from there asked for a reduction of our stay was refused so that was two things that should have been no issues with would not recommend this 4star hotel in bundoran and Expedia you should keep these updates on your website

The outside location was beautiful! But…We did not like our room at all though. Our outside window faced someone else’s window. It seemed very creepy. We did not have a view at all ! Our room seemed dark and outdated. We did not like our room at all!

Staff were superb. The food was of a high quality. The room was without a view and airless - even with the window open and the doors were noisy and so sleep is disturbed. The setting is stunning. Children were allowed to run around and play in the lounge and bar area. Suggest an activity space for them so they are not allowed to disturb other guests.

Staff helpful and friendly. The room is in need of refurbishment the wallpaper was falling off the wall. The bathroom was mouldy. Not what you expect from a 4 star hotel

Very stuffy in the room if the weather is warm. No air conditioning in rooms, windows only open a couple of centimeters.

Bathrooms very old, space around toilet is cramped for anyone with mobility issues. Shower was very small and the shower head was was not high enough, had to shower basically crouched over.

Hotel is right on the coast. Weather I was there the beach was very busy. Car park totally taken up with people clearly not staying at the hotel. Had to park on verge.

Not up to a modern 4 star specification.

The property was tiered in need of modernisation

Older property, spotlessly clean, good sized rooms, bathrooms clean but dated….

We checked in at 7:45 only to learn the swimming pool closed at 8. Then we made it to our room booked for three people to find everything set up for two. We tried to call down but the phone was broken.

We were so tired and laid on the beds to then realize the wedding going on below was right under our room and the swinging door banged directly under our beds reverberating up. Oh yay.

We went downstairs to see what could be done and they tried to keep it propped open but it never lasted long. Then the band started up.

The evening staff were mortified and apologized but asked us to deal with the day manager.

We did this in the morning but she was unperturbed and would only offer us free drinks before leaving - at 10am in the morning.

In fairness, the breakfast was excellent.

The view is so gorgeous from the room! The food is not the best. You have a lovely walk along the see.

Great for families with small children

Hotel is a bit dated decor wise but we’ve been coming here for decades and just love this hotel..

My stay was quite enjoyable, I feel the hotel would need an update. Shower was not great doors getting stuck other than that it was good. The food was lovely plenty of it and it was good fun. Staff were very nice

No hot water no heating in room
