Overall good price for the stay

Fair budget focused cost. To reach hotel from the airport is a nightmare with luggage - packed narrow lanes with people bikes tuks and cars. Not to mention poor road surfacing, uneven roads and walkways. Also need to wind around blocks to eventually get there.
The room itself is aged. Relatively clean although hairs were noticed in shower. Hot water knob fitting was loose. The bed was clean however not plush and can feel springs the instant to crawl into bed.
Plenty of market style food and shops around. 7eleven very close by.
Personally I wouldn’t stay here again just because of the difficulty reaching the hotel via public transport.

Room was clean but building seemed old. Air conditioning was a bit noisy on the first night. Could hear traffic sometimes from the 5th floor. There are seats for eating in the evening which caused us to miss the entrance the first time. Location was great; right next to the night market. Overall, a comfortable and affordable stay in Bangkok.

Worn out facilities need a serious facelift. Leak stained ceiling in bath, crusty looking fixtures, delaminated furniture. No bedside lightning. But adequately clean from what I can tell.

The facilities were a good value , clean and good service. Hotel is in a busy market area, and had no breakfast or dining facilities.

Well-priced, clean hotel located among the markets and close to weed dispesaries.

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful (as was everyone we met in Thailand)

Good hotel

Excellent location for those who wants to shop at the Pratunam market. The property is dated and the aircon is noisy.

OMG the most terible hotel I've ever stayed. I have been stay in any hotel in Bangkok. but this hotel very very terible.
I shopped at Big C, then there they used boxes for groceries and I wasn't allowed to bring the boxes into the room. They said , the hotel just for sleep. OMG that's very strange
The aircon very noisy, the window open cannot lock , not recommend at all! and THE STAFF VERY RUDE! never come again to this hotel

Please clean your air-condition, room can put air freshers. Staffs need more smiles.

Rhe hotel is clean, the staffs are helpful, but the location is in a small and crowded street. The wall is thin, we could hear someone moving from the next room. If you want to find the airport link you must pass along the railway full of gravels. Tuk tuk is a better option for the transportation. Fortunately the location of the hotel is close to Pratunam Night Market with a lot of eateries so no need to buy breakfast from this hotel.

Room is clean but abit small for triple. No chairs and mini table for relaxation corner for beer. But overall should be OK for a mini hotel stay.

Hotel lobby was decent, room was not clean with dust and hairs lying in the corners of the room and table tops. Toilet was smelling like sewage that permeates into the room. Bed and pillows were fine. But overall condition of the room was not ideal. 3.5/10

If budget is 1 key consideration for your Bangkok trip, that is, you want low rate and good location, then Patra Boutique Hotel is great. I list the hits and misses for easy reference -
A) Hits :
- great for budget conscious
- in center of Pratunam, eating and shopping just steps from hotel entrance
- good clean room with comfy bed, daily housekeeping, drinking water, aircon and TV, etc. Room size is ok.
- secured anbience via access card (lift and room)
- hotel has massage parlour (foot and body etc) with market price. (But if you don't mind walking 3-4min, there is a better massage parlour 'Chan Thai Massage' nearby that gives you better skilled masseurs.

Misses -
- the narrow streets around the hotel means most Grab drivers will not be able reach you during peak hours. I had my 3 bookings cancelled to 1 locations as the drivers were jammed at Pratunam streets. Even walking out to main road is a hit or miss situation. Ratchaprop BTS is a fairly long walk out (15mins). But if your departure to airport is like 6-7am in the morning, its ok for Grab drivers.
- the walls at the hotel is rather "thin". You may hear other guests outside your room talking or shuffling around.
- the lifts need the room access cards to work, both going up or down. So if you forget and left your card in room, you can't activate the lift to go to hotel reception to seek assistance. U need to wait for other guests to use the lift or via the fire escape stairs (if you stayed at 10th floor, long walk down).
- the hotel requires a 1000Bht deposit, refundable upon checking out and return of the room cards AND be verified by the receipt given when you check in. If you lose that receipt, things get sticky. Don't lose that receipt !

Overall, quite good stay at Patra. Just take note of my honest review. Chok dee khrub. //(^__^)\\
