What a hidden gem! Perfect for if you're attending a nearby show at the Eventim Apollo ( only 10 mins walk away)
When we arrived had a lovely welcome from the gentleman behind the bar (sorry didn't catch your name) he checked us in and explained everything, including that we would receive a discount on drinks and food bought within the pub . Then he took us out of the bar , through the pub garden and into the guest area . He explained the door code entry and escorted us up the stairs to the accommodation area. Our room was then up another flight of stairs at the top of the building. The room was much larger than expected , with a settee , chairs and two tv's . The bathroom had a bath with shower over head ( the shower wasn't working but this was known when we booked the room)
There were plenty of towels and a good range of toiletries provided. Tea and coffee making facilities and again a good range of drink options provided. The room was very clean and bed extremely comfortable. We also had dinner and drinks in the pub - the pub itself was vibrant and friendly with a great atmosphere , and a large dining area to one side . The food was very good value and delicious - both of us thoroughly enjoyed it. Every member of staff we encountered during our stay couldn't have been more helpful . Cant wait to find an excuse to go back!
There was nothing at all that we didn't like - the only thing to say is the stairs maybe a problem for anyone with mobility issues.
Clean comfortable and welcoming- good to have the restaurant too!
It was in a good location
The room was not as described. The roof was damp, the carpet did not fit the room, the tv aerial was broken, the blind did not open, the plug was broken and hanging off, the bathroom shower had mould, the tv cable bracket was hanging off and the shower tubing was black with dirt and the shower head that is adjustable was broken so couldn’t be heightened and kept slipping down.
Great location for the Apollo theatre, friendly staff and clean and tidy rooms.
No breakfast served at the weekends before 10am.
If you go o bed early this place isn’t for you as the noise/music from the pub goes on till midnight

The heating didn’t work for our first night into the next day.

Het lag dichtbij het metrostation.
We kregen een kamer die niet overeen kwam met wat wij geboekt hadden. De kamer was net een paar vierkante meter groter dan de trapkast waar Harry Potter in sliep. Vieze vlekken op het dekbed. Keken uit op een terrein met allemaal afvalbakken. Er was een klein raampje. Dat was het enige daglicht. Er was geen normale spiegel in de badkamer. Ook geen stopcontact. De medewerkers boeide het niet toen ik dit aangaf en waren ook niet bereid om mee te denken naar een oplossing.

Location is too. Underground station under 2min. High Street is quite close (5min). Clean.
Dogs are allowed inside the facilities. This is not only unhygienic but it is also a risk for those of us with severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis). This was not informed beforehand. Also, breakfast and dinner times are different from those advertised. You can read dinner is served til 22pm on both the internet and the menus in the rooms but it's actually until 20. We got to the pub at 19:59 (which was unfortunate) but the real disappointment comes with the girl waitress / owner's attitude when she bluntly said "we just closed" (emphasis on 'just') giving us no more info. Another waiter was kind enough to let us know the times are wrong. They do know foreign people go there, guests, not everyone speaks English and frankly, it's not the guests' fault the information is misleading. Providing a cold snack would have resolved the issue. Apologizing and informing us about the situation would have been appropriate.

Family room we stayed in was dark and carpet needed a good hoover and shampoo. Cobwebs in room. No mattress protector in place, although mattress looked clean, it is a basic requirement these days. The tv over bed didn’t work and tv in sitting area stopped working early day two of stay. This was reported but unable to fix during our stay. Tiled bathroom floor looked old and dirty. Shower poor. We didn’t feel we wanted to spend any time in the room.
Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Konnten das Gepäck schon vormittags abgeben zur Aufbewahrung, super Anbindung an die U-Bahn, sehr leckeres Essen im Pub mit moderaten Preisen. Schönes Ambiente.

Bathroom was very dirty, floor had not been mopped (toothpaste on floor and walls) and blood stains on blinds
Room was not room we had booked, bed very visibly different from photographs and not very comfy
