Modern and comfortable hotel to stay for business or as a couple close to the center of Abu-Dabi. Good breakfast, nice parks to walk nearby, a little bit far from the skyscrapers and Palace but not too far - 40 minutes walk alongside the seashore.
This is a very nice hotel with spacious bedrooms. Staff were helpful and attentive. They have a good restaurant and meals are reasonably priced.
As part of Etihad Airlines’ Abu Dhabi holiday offer, the 2-night stay at this hotel was free, can you believe that? And check in/check out is flexible depending on flight schedule.
There are many hotels like this one in downtown AD that offer reasonable prices and clean, safe accomodation. I have stayed at a few of them and found this one to be middle of the pack. We were here for a trade show, so aside from sleeping and breakfast our group did not spend time at the hotel, aside from some short meetings in the evening. For this purpose, the hotel is a good choice.
No hot water. Hotel is very dated. Needs to be renovated.
Taking advantage of ADIPEC prices were way too high
Overall it was average. When we first arrived it took roughly 20 mins to check in as they didn't have sight of the prebooking. The hall way on the way to room smelt of damp. The shower door was designed by a monkey. It would only open 30% due to the toliet seat proxmity. But other than that it was ok
If you book this hotel using Expedia be sure in advance that your booking has been received by the hotel. The staff did there best to help us because my reservation was not submited to them properly but in an hour or two the issue was solved and everyone was happy.
The pictures look very enticing but getting in the room floor has stains. Im not sure if they steamed it to get the dirt and stains.
And then, I called a week prior to hotel reservation for a late check out but they still kicked us out.
The hotel is very hard to find on google maps, or waze. When ordering food, delivery guys cannot also find the hotel.

My wife and I spent a week here. We have very positive and joyful impressions about it. The hotel is located in the heart of Abu Dhabi. Our room was clean, bright and spacious. Loved the gym and the wonderful outdoor rooftop pool. But we were most impressed by the staff at this hotel.
Among the service personnel, we would like to highly note and express our gratitude to the receptionists: Wissal, Renz, Marifel, and Rashan for their friendly, caring, courteous and very professional approach to the client, as well as concierge Musthafa for his attentiveness, diligence, and housekeepers Yubaraj, Mohd Arif, Kapill Kumar, and Sadar for their hard work, responsiveness and accuracy.
We would also like to sincerely thank the receptionist Haider, the Manager of Housekeeping Service Cerlouf and the electrician Ayoub for their quick response and professional work.
We were delighted with the hotel and the entire Golden Tulip team. BRAVO!!!!

Staff were very nice and helpful. Requested an ironing board and it was delivered within 15 mins. Room was clean and spacious. Lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance.

My stay at the Golden Tulip was exceptional, thanks to its wonderful staff. From the warm welcome to the unparalleled attentiveness, every staff member made me feel genuinely valued. Their professionalism and eagerness to go above and beyond. The personal touches, like remembering my name and preferences, truly set them apart, making any stay unforgettable. For outstanding service with a smile, I highly recommend the Golden Tulip.
The staff are friendly, the hotel is in a reasonable location and the rooms are clean enough (if you ignore the stained carpets). It was Etihad-provided free stopover accommodation so I wasn’t expecting luxury and would have rated it a little higher had it not been for two issues that occurred on our last day, after check-out.
I checked out with my young adult daughter at lunchtime but as our flight was not due to leave until 3am the following morning, I asked to leave our baggage until the evening. I was led to believe it would be stored securely but when we returned, it was in the hotel foyer and left completely unattended. Fortunately, nothing was missing but it certainly wasn’t secure.
However, that wasn’t the worse of it. I asked the concierge to call a taxi to the airport for 11pm. I made it clear I needed to be able to pay by card (I had no cash). Despite a few available taxis passing the front of the hotel, I was told ours was delayed in traffic. When it arrived at about 11.15pm, it was a regular SUV - there was no taxi signage outside and no meter inside. I was unhappy that it was not a proper taxi as that was what I had expected. I asked how would I know what the fare was? I was told AED120. When arriving, I had paid AED86 so refused to pay this much. I said no more than AED90. We set off but after a few minutes, the driver turned off the main road and into a petrol station forecourt. He didn’t really speak English but appeared to be telling me to go and withdraw cash from the ATM. I was very alarmed at this point and there was no way I was going to leave my daughter or my luggage unattended with some random driver. We got out, removed our luggage and found a proper taxi.
Lesson learned…I wish I had followed my instinct when he pulled up at the hotel and refused this private vehicle from the outset, particularly as I was told afterwards that private cars acting as taxis are illegal (it was definitely not a limousine service). Note: I contacted the hotel over two weeks ago about my concerns but have not received a response from them.
