Enjoyed the nearby Ridges walking trails and lighthouse. Convenient travel to several state and county parks. Roomy accommodations and fireplace was nice to have available during the cooler fall time of year that we visited.
An older room, needs updating. But it was clean, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and located in a very beautiful location.
The person who helped us at check in was very helpful telling us about things we could do while we were there and where we could eat. We were very appreciative of this.
The internet wasn't very good. There are only around 6 channels on the tv and some of them were not what they said they were. We enjoying relaxing at night after our hiking watching tv and there wasn't much to pick from. I had brought an HDMI cord along to hook up our computer or Roku to log into our Netflix, but the tv was so old, it did not have an HDMI hookup. I don't think the internet could have streamed for us any way.
Overall decent place to stay for what we needed. Loved having a living room and kitchenette separate from the bedroom. Fireplace was cozy.

Needed to remodel the lower rate rooms and could use new couches and chairs in rooms. Also the subfloor bathroom badly needs replacing sank down upon stepping on the floor.
It was very comfy and felt like home. The four poster bed provided a great night's sleep. There was a small sitting area for reading or watching tv. Screened in porch was also nice. The only real negative comment we have is that the TV was very small and had minimum stations. We could not get CBS at all, ABC was fuzzy and the best major network was NBC. Would rather have the weather station instead of 2 shopping stations. The new owners have done a great job in fixing the place up. Outside stairwell could use a little paint. We would definitely stay here again.
It was right on the proprty of the ridges protected area and super close to the range lighthouse.
And close to Baileys Harbour!
Nice Motel, Older but well kept rooms.
Meh
This place is super dated and had a weird smell to it. Rust on shower curtain and all in shower. Even hair in the drain. Would not recommend.
We stayed in the Cedar South Twin room, which is a separate building from the main buildings. THIS REVIEW IS NOT A COMMENT ON THE MAIN BUILDING, to be fair to the owners and workers.
The staff is very nice. The Cedar South Twin room is not up to 2024 lodging standards. It is tired. The bathroom, in particular is VERY dated. Everything works, but it is not comfortable to the spoiled level we are now used to. These units should be remodeled. The property itself is unremarkable. I'd have been OK with paying $75 for the stay, much less than I was charged.
Microwave door was held together with duct tape, it still worked. Not enough towels in the room to support a longer stay. Back patio was at a steep angle coming out of door. The staff on arrival where great, we upgraded when we seen how small the 2 queen room was.
Good location but very Outdated . No Wi-Fi In the room only outside. Dog friendly very nice service.
This had to be one of my top 3 all time worst places to stay. The musty smell that rushed out of the house when I opened the door should have been my first clue. The amenities are nonexistent. The place is completely outdated. There was a huge brush pile next to the 'fire pit' which was just a few stones on top of a concrete slab (and next to a forest with a ton of dry needles!).
If you are really in a pinch and need a place to stay, this could do for a night. But to be honest, you are better off camping.
This was worse experience ever! A pay-by-the-hour flop house truck stop woyld rate higher! Multiple safety, health and fire safety issues - all in violation of Wisconsin statutes. My travel companion had to sleep in her vehicle due to smell and dirty bed linens. Patio door did not lock. No deadbolt or chain on door, and ao much more! Have multiple photos to share.
The staff was very helpful and accommodating during our stay, able to lend us a few items we forgot or didn't bring. The cottage was a nice home base while we explored Door Co. for a few days, but it could use some work. The bathroom and kitchen were a bit dated and the kitchen floor felt like it could use a deeper cleaning. Most everything worked, except the dishwasher -- it was not hooked up, so it evidently needs repair, though there was no notice to let us know that. But more importantly, the bedroom was clean, the living room was a nice relaxing space, and we enjoyed the fire pit out back.
The toilet was just awful! I’m only just over 5ft 7 inches tall but the toilet was way too low with the water way too high which meant that my “bottom business area” was soaked! Thanks to my Wife’s idea of dipping out the water with a plastic cup, I was able to function. Staff was somewhat helpful but all in all, it was a terrible experience. Other amenities were cheap and not working adequately. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Stinks!
Clean and comfortably. Large room.
Needs more parking in main lot.
Really nice linens. Great water pressure. Very nice staff, from the front desk to housekeeping. QUIET! Beautiful view of the forest 5 feet from the slider. Plenty of parking and easy access to Bailey's Harbor. Will book again.
