Dear Marriott Leadership Team,

I'm writing to express my deepest and most sincere gratitude for an act of service so extraordinary that I felt compelled to bring it to the attention of the highest levels of your organisation.

During my recent stay at Hakuba Marriott, an unfortunate incident occurred when my luggage was accidentally damaged by one of your porters. While such mishaps can happen, what followed was a masterclass in exceptional hospitality and genuine human care.

Within moments of the incident, a front desk staff by the name of Khadka Mukesh was promptly dispatched to personally address the matter. I was presented with two considerate options — a dining credit or a replacement piece of luggage — a gesture that immediately reflected your brand's commitment to guest satisfaction. I accepted the offer of a replacement luggage.

However, what truly left me speechless came shortly after. Your Operation Manager, Masaki Ueda took the time to personally reach out to me with a sincere and heartfelt apology. This alone would have been more than enough. But he did not stop there.

In the following days, Masaki-San continued to check in with me — not out of obligation, but out of a genuine desire to make things right. And then, in an act of service I will never forget, he personally travelled all the way from Hakuba to Tokyo, collected my luggage, brought it to a specialist repair shop to have the luggage professionally restored, and then hand-delivered it back to my Tokyo hotel in the same day before making the journey all the way back to Hakuba !

He did not send a courier nor delegate but gave his own time, energy, and effort entirely for the comfort and peace of mind of a single guest.

In an era where hospitality can often feel transactional, he reminded me of what true service meant. It's personal, selfless, and done with pride. He is, without a doubt, an extraordinary ambassador. If there is any way to honour his committment,pls do so !

もっとマリオット感が欲しかった。
Pros:

部屋に座るソファなど無くて、ベッドに座るしか無くて
小上がりになって座布団と丸テーブルは和と洋でどちらか中途半端で落ち着かない。
海外の方は、小上がりの上にも外履きで上がってそうな気がした。
道路側の部屋は、金額にしては残念😢

ご飯は、美味しかった。👌
