Great location, rooms just a little small and maybe need a refresh

Bedrooms were a little small with only 1 side table, carpets very dirty

Comfortable stay in a great location in Southbank - close to everything
Pros:

That we had 2 bathrooms; and the location was great (for getting to the tennis)

Cons:

Could hear the traffic noise from the busy street below. (It wasn’t too bad)

Small detail….
but we noticed after settling into our room that there was no coffee maker. We brought this to the attention of the front desk and they proceeded to explain that due to the level of the room we booked , that this was not actually included. First of all, I can’t recall the last time I have stayed in a place that did not have a coffee maker ( at least a French press ) but second of all, this was not the case . The Coffee maker, was in fact to be included . At the time I did not have the details to question otherwise but when I was able to pull up the information for the property from the booking , there was supposed to be one. Anyways. ..we asked if house keeping could provide one , which they did… but in the end , it leaked , so seemed like morning coffee (without going out), was not meant to be.

Great location but too many issues with the room with the room to return

Location is brilliant.
Very clean .
Great washing machine and dryer.
Problems addressed as well as they could be at the time.

Cons:

Quite sparse feeling.
Couch can barely sit two people comfortably.
No shelving or drawers in wardrobe for clothes ( drawers were brought up promptly after request although told most people live out of a suitcase)
No desk so moved dining table to wall for plug access to sit and dry hair with my own travel mirror.
Plug for hairdryer in the bathroom cupboard behind the mirror door so if you plugged your hairdryer in you couldn’t then see in the mirror!
Kitchen cutlery drawer at floor level!
Air con stopped working so a fan was brought in promptly. Engineer not available on the Sunday to fix the problem.
Too many issues to stay here again although a different room may not throw up the same problems?
Did however upgrade before we came so expecting better.
I think we were hoping for the same as the Oaks Darwin which was first class.

Pretty good location, walked to Australian open, lots to cafes, restaurants and pubs nearby.
Pros:

Great location close to all events, on site parking (at a cost)

Cons:

Found the ensuite bathroom was ridiculously small, I'm not sure how a bigger person could use the toilet or get in the shower.
No single beds for our second room.
Air con in living room, fans in bedrooms, no tv in any bedroom only living room
Gym and pool at sister property down the road (at least it was an option)

The room was spacious and clean. The hotel is in a very convenient location.

Cons:

very little coffee and sugar in the welcome pack.
