🔴 VERIFIED SECURITY BREACH & DISPUTE: Theft, Staff Aggression, and Eviction

I am publishing this factual review regarding a severe security failure and subsequent misconduct by staff at the Nobile Copacabana Design Hotel.
1. Verified Room Theft & Infrastructure Failure (14/06/2026)
While staying in room 1104, an unauthorized individual entered the room between 11:00 and 15:00. A backpack padlock was broken, and the following items were stolen from the guest:

* An AMEX credit card and two Capital One cards.
* €500.00 (Euros), $1,400.00 (USD), and R$ 2.000,00 (Brazilian Reais).
* Unauthorized attempted charges of R$ 4.800,00, $921.50, $882.28, and $686.22 were immediately made on the stolen cards under the merchant name "PGZ*MARCIOPIN".
* Infrastructure Defect: The room safe was entirely non-functional from the moment of check-in, leaving no secure storage option. The hotel only repaired it after the theft occurred.

2. Lack of Corporate Cooperation & Misinformation
The hotel reception supervisor verbally claimed that internal keycard entry logs and CCTV footage (which showed cleaning staff entering twice during the theft window) had been sent to the police. The victim personally went to the 012ª Delegacia de Polícia to verify this, and authorities confirmed that the hotel had not submitted the required evidence. Furthermore, the hotel refuses to issue any official incident report, formal written position, or email responses, keeping all correspondence strictly verbal to avoid liability.
3. Escalation, Staff Aggression, and Forced Eviction (18/06/2026)
The hotel initially agreed to a partial payment of R$ 6.000,00, but refuses to reimburse the full stolen amount unless the victim provides "impossible proof" of the cash inside the room. Because of their silence, a printed, hard copy of a formal complaint letter was brought to the property.
Upon trying to deliver this document, the reception supervisor became extremely hostile and physically aggressive. The guest was forced to call emergency services to the lobby for physical safety, resulting in a secondary police intervention. Immediately following this, the hotel forced the guest to leave the property, illegally evicting them without providing any documentation or written confirmation regarding a refund for the remaining booked nights through June 21.
Conclusion:
This property presents an extreme risk to your physical safety and financial security. Management acts with a complete lack of transparency, misleads guests regarding police cooperation, and resorts to physical hostility when presented with formal paperwork. CANCEL THIS HOTEL. DO.NOT.BOOK.

A localização é excelente. Em frente a estação de metrô, perto de padarias e supermercados, orla de Copacabana. A limpeza é muito boa, e funcionários muito gentis e receptivos.. Gostei de tudo.

Super me hospedaria novamente! O hotel fica nas costas do Copacabana Palace e gostei demais da localizacao. Fui para a praia de copacabana a pé, e foi bom demais. A praia é lindíssima. Tive um total de zero perrengues e me senti bem segura! Bem na frente do hotel tem uma estacao de metro e uma feirinha no fim do dia. Tem policiamento intenso na região também. Amei o café da manhã (é simples, mas tem de tudo um pouco). O quarto é enorme, o banheiro também. A iluminacao do quarto é toda indireta e quente, então fica super confortável o tempo todo.

Hotel con ingresso abbastanza elegante. La camera e il bagno erano abbastanza grandi e confortevoli. La doccia funzionava molto bene, cosa abbastanza rara in Brasile. Colazione ottima, con ampia varietà di cibo di qualità, sia salato che dolce. Posizione in una zona frequentata di Copacabana, con numerosi locali nelle vicinanze.

Posizione incredibile. Comodissima.
