Lovely Location
Pros:

Blast from the past. Lovely location and staff. Easy parking. Quiet room.

Cons:

It was generally quite clean but quite dated. Looked bigger and grander on photos! Being a 4 star hotel in was on the poorer end.

The hotel was chosen as the best option compared with what was otherwise poor alternatives .
Pros:

View from the room was nice overlooking the promenade and beach. On site parking was a bonus.

Cons:

The hotel décor could do with modernisation, outdated but clean. A shame because the location was good. Breakfast buffet was underwhelming although the staff were friendly and polite.

very enjoyable as a short stay hotel
Pros:

Staff were very friendly and obliging. Especially room service.
Dinner in the restaurant was very, very good.
Great location

Cons:

Room was okay, but felt a bit old and musty. For eg. Lots of condensation on windows, etc.
Breakfast quality was good, but prefer a buffet. Breakfast value for money was just OK

A great 4 nights away. We eat our evening meals there too which were lovely.
Pros:

Breakfast was lovely, fresh tasty food used.
The staff were all so friendly.
We had a mishap with the shower but it was seen to immediately.

Cons:

The lift was very old and the stairs into the building were a bit difficult for me, however I managed just fine.

Lovely staff and food, comfortable stay.
Pros:

The staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly when we had an issue with our original room. We were shown several alternatives until we found the one that was suitable, and this was handled pleasantly and professionally. The room we eventually stayed in was clean, warm and comfortable. The hotel is a little dated in places, but it had every thing we needed and overall we had a comfortable stay.
There was a good choice of mainly cooked breakfast and it was served hot.
Dinner Friday evening was particularly good.
We had fish and chips, but the chef had given the dish a little individual flair. The fish was fresh, the batter was lovely, and the mushy peas were unlike any I had tasted before, with really beautiful flavour.
We also appreciated that the hotel adjusted our bill to reflect the change form our sea-facing room to a lower grade room,, without having to ask, which felt like a very fair and thoughtful response to the room issue.

Cons:

My wife raised a concern about the smell in the room that she found quite unpleasant and it seemed to be coming rom the air conditioning unit/ventilation. A member of maintenance attended promptly, but the explanation given didin't really resolved her concern, so after dinner we asked to change rooms. The staff handled the change pleasantly and helpfully.

Very comfortable beds, Spacious shower. Friendly and welcoming staff.
Pros:

Would have liked selection of charcuterie at breakfast and low fat yogurt. Service was friendly and efficient. The lift was interesting!!!
But emphasise the helpfulness of staff.

Cons:

Didn’t realise there were so many steps up to enter the hotel.

Loverly hotel, good location
Pros:

Helpful staff and good food.
Breakfast was loverly. Free parking and just a 10 minute walk to the main attractions.
