We absolutely LOVED Riva Arun. The location is simply perfect — an ideal base for exploring the stunning nearby temples, with great restaurants within walking distance, a safe and welcoming neighborhood, and easy access to the rest of the city via water taxi or train. There's even a 7-Eleven around the corner for water and supplies, which sounds like a small thing until you actually need it.
The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful at every turn.
But the true star of the stay was our waterfront room. It was one of the pricier hotels on our trip, and the room itself is compact — but the view? Absolutely off the charts. Worth every penny. We would return without hesitation and recommend it to anyone visiting Bangkok.
Above Riva, the hotel restaurant: the breakfast was amazing, the dinner atmosphere was lovely, and the views are just as spectacular as the ones from the room.
One small but worth-noting improvement: the bathroom commode light is controlled by the same switch as the bedroom light, meaning any middle-of-the-night trip disturbs whoever is sleeping. A separate switch would be an easy fix and make a real difference. We improvised a workaround with some electronics, but it shouldn't come to that.

Nossa estadia foi simplesmente perfeita. Pegamos o quarto com vista para o Wat Arun e fez toda a diferença. Os funcionários sao muito simpáticos e prestativos. O cafe da manha é maravilhoso. A localização é perfeita, fizemos muitos passeios a pé. Eles recebem a gente com um cha tailandes e biscoitinhos típicos. Tem um restaurante em frente perfeito, estrela michelin. Foi a primeira parte da nossa lua de mel e só a agradecer!

Zimmer super funktionell, doch auch eher klein.
Umgebung eben pft überfüllt mit Touris und Verkehr.....
