A great location, wonderful Jacobean ambience, attentive and polite staff, good food, cosy.

Cons:

Noise from the bar below till about 11.30, is acoustic flooring feasible? Room was quite expensive.

Brilliant location, lovely staff and so full of character.

Pros:

A charming historic building with plenty of character. The room was comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. The room was quiet with the window open, despite the pub downstairs having live music.
There is convenient free parking at the nearby village green. Breakfast was good, and I also enjoyed dinner at the restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I would definitely stay here again, lovely people and wonderful historic property.
Pros:

Absolutely spotless and tastefully decorated. Lovely soft white towels. The food in the restaurant was superb!

Cons:

The mattress was a little hard.
