Pros:

Clean & staff was friendly. Nice hot breakfast. The tea & cookies were nice as well.

Cons:

The spring mattress was not comfortable. Lots of traffic on the main road that you need to get to the hotel so made it a little difficult to get back to.

Convenient, quiet, very clean place to stay when in the Charlottesville area.
Pros:

The English Inn is a unique looking property, and is not a chain hotel. The rooms are large and super clean, and the hotel has a good location right off Rt. 29. The breakfast is in a private room and is excellent. The pool is large. It is close to good restaurants. The afternoon tea is a plus, with comfortable seating in the lobby.

Cons:

The pool is not heated, so it was a bit chilly.

Everything. The rooms are great. The staff friendly and helpful. Everywhere was spotless. Great buffet breakfast.

Wish they had Bodywash for the shower

Good breakfast, good beds but bland interior. Functional place to stay 1-2 nights.
Pros:

The hotel is located near highway access if important to you. Beds were comfortable. Parking is easy. Breakfast was very good. Pool would probably be good if you have kids.

Cons:

The front desk staff was not especially friendly. Overall, the decor is quite dated and the rooms are bland.
