Everything about our New Year’s Eve stay at the Whitmore Hotel was truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how thoughtful and curated every detail was.

Each day, we returned to the room to find little candies and treats waiting for us — such a small but meaningful touch. Housekeeping was impeccable, with beautifully done turndowns that made the room feel fresh, calm, and cared for every single evening.

Matteo and others at the front desk were absolutely wonderful — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The restaurant and bar staff were equally accommodating, making every experience feel easy and relaxed.

Breakfast each morning was a true highlight. Fresh, beautifully cut fruit, excellent coffees and teas, and bread baskets that were absolutely to die for. Fernando greeted us every morning with the biggest smile and took such wonderful care of us — he was a joy each day and made breakfast feel genuinely special.

The ambiance throughout the hotel was stunning. The fireplace, the artistic and beautifully curated floral designs from the Christmas season, and the overall interior design were a dream. I wanted to photograph everything — from the rich red velvet curtains to the thoughtfully layered décor throughout the space.

One of the most special moments was walking up to the rooftop terrace and overlooking the city of Barcelona. There was ample seating, incredibly comfortable, and one afternoon I even laid out in the sun and took the most peaceful little nap. It felt like a true escape above the city.

My friends and I had an incredible time. The entire staff was so friendly, caring, and attentive — always there without ever being intrusive. They even arranged our taxi to the airport, which picked us up right out front and made our departure seamless.

It was truly all the little special touches that made this one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed. A beautiful, memorable experience from start to finish. I can’t wait to return.

A fabulous small boutique hotel. The location in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona is amazing with its narrow alley type streets and quaint shops (but difficult for a taxi to drive through. The staff at the hotel was unbelievable friendly and accommodating. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. Everything was meticulously clean. The restaurant was great, we had dinner there one night and it was great but the real star was breakfast. Next time we come to Barcelona we will visit again.

I didn’t expect much when I booked this hotel but to my surprise, I have fallen in love with it. The bedding is high quality, the firmness of the mattress is perfect for me, and the design of the room is tasteful and has a low key luxurious feel to it. The attendants are friendly, personable, and since this is a boutique hotel, the front desk knows you by name. Despite being a small hotel, I haven’t bumped into any of the guests during my stay here except during breakfast hours where I met a couple. Speaking of breakfast, it definitely exceeded my experience. Coming from the USA, the phrase continental breakfast doesn’t bring much joy. However, I was totally blown away! The table setting, the quality of the breads, the make to order sweet and savory dishes simply put one at a good mood.
I love that Wittmore is quiet, hidden from sights, and yet conveniently situated within the Gothic Quarter.
