Such a beautiful reaort, amazing staff that go above and beyond to make your stay wonderful. Made ise of the shuttle service into town, the incredible pool and the breakfast each day. Grateful for such a beautiful into to Balanese Culture and people.
The property was beautiful and the room was very big.
Very nice place and kind staff.
But improvements are required in the condition of certain features.
Bathrooms need more updated facilities (taps and showers are old, water pressure is remarkably inadequate for a supposedly 5* resort; the technical staff for repairs was not effective in dealing with various water leaks from taps or WCs; the bathrobe is too small, maybe ok for a kid regarding the size.
The taps are short in length hence a bit uncomfortable when using the sink.
Door locks are uncomfortable while opening.
Breakfast: the choice for "sweet" food is insufficient and a bit poor in quality for western guests' expectations.
TV without free international news channels or movies is unacceptable in a 5* resort.
The hotel should have a Currency Exchange available for all guests.
The grounds are beautiful
The hotel is very beautiful, the employees are very atentive and cordial. We tried the 2 restaurants and they have a lot of options and the food was very good.
Our bedroom was nice but more for couples as the washroom is in an open concept.
I recently stayed at this hotel and had a very uncomfortable experience with one of the female front desk staff. I had requested in advance to have two double beds instead of a king, and when I asked again at check-in if this was possible, her response was shockingly rude. She frowned, looked annoyed, and said “What?” in a dismissive way, as if it was a burden to even answer. Her expression made me feel that she did not want to deal with me at all.
At first, I tried to ignore it and enjoy my stay. But later that evening, when I politely asked for a buggy to take us to our room, the same staff reacted in exactly the same rude way—with the same irritated face and dismissive “What?” This proved to me it was not a misunderstanding, but a real problem with her attitude toward guests.
I reported this to the manager, on Monday morning, who immediately understood which staff member I was talking about. He sincerely apologized and thanked me politely for sharing the issue. His professional response reassured me that the management is good, though it also showed that there are clear challenges in staff training.
I appreciate the manager’s professionalism, but I strongly hope the hotel will address this issue so that no other guest has to feel the same discomfort and disrespect I experienced.
Very relaxing and spacious. Everything was very nice.
Great hotel! Breakfast can be better… juices not fresh, few fruit options
Absolutely wonderful stay in beautiful Ubud!
The staff of this stunning hotel are attentive and extremely polite. The grounds are amazing- the atmosphere chilled and the food is awesome! I would for sure return to Visesa!!
Visesa Ubud markets itself as a tranquil, luxurious jungle escape. What we got instead was a front-row seat to a full-on renovation, complete with the soothing soundtrack of a tile saw screaming through concrete next door—starting within minutes of check-in.
We headed straight back to the front desk, where a staff member came to the room and promised the work would stop during our stay. That promise lasted about five minutes before the saw fired right back up, as if on cue. Another trip to the front desk, another visit from a different staffer, and eventually we were offered a new room—so, progress?
Until we tried the shower, which barely dripped. Yet another call to the front desk brought maintenance, who proudly demonstrated how they’d improved the flow to a gentle trickle. Ah yes, nothing says 5-star suite like playing “chase the water droplet” while shampooing.
Oh, and the shower floor? Designed with a reverse slope, ensuring a permanent puddle unless someone comes by with a squeegee. Which they did, bless them—but let’s be honest: that’s not the kind of spa treatment I had in mind.
The property is gorgeous, the staff are lovely, and breakfast is fine. But if you’re paying top dollar for a pool suite, you probably don’t want to spend your vacation dodging construction noise, calling the front desk on repeat, or praying for water pressure.
Great food, wonderful atmosphere!
Lovely quiet, relaxing rooms and gardens. An excellent restaurant on the premises. Very convenient shuttle bus into the town for shopping and exploring.
Enjoyed my stay , food nice staff friendly and helpful, I will stay there again 😊
I had a very pleasant stay at Visesa Ubud Resort. The location is beautiful — tucked away from the hustle of Ubud centre, which made it feel like a peaceful retreat while still being conveniently close to town.
The facilities were well-maintained and felt safe, with security present but unobtrusive. The highlight for me was the Lumbung Restaurant — the Indonesian food was fantastic, and the staff there were especially warm, attentive, and welcoming. It really made a difference to the overall experience.
Breakfast was decent — nothing too special, but enough variety to start the day right. If I had one suggestion, it would be for a bit more consistency in the service across the whole resort. While many of the staff were lovely, a few could’ve been more attentive and friendly.
That said, it’s a beautiful property with a lot to offer, and I’d happily stay here again — especially for the peaceful setting and great local cuisine.
The property is beautiful, lush with greenery and water features everywhere, and is very well-maintained. I felt totally relaxed in this green heaven. The staff were polite and attentive. However, housekeeping was a bit slack. I had to remind them 3 consecutive days to make up the room and provide the basic necessities like water bottles, cups, glasses, hand-towels, etc. This was a bit off-putting. Other than this glitch, the overall experience was good.
Excellent property with excellent service. Nice resort setup.
Amanzing property 👍👍
What an absolutely magical stay at Visesa Ubud Resort with our family (2 adults and 2 daughters)! Our trip coincided with both our daughters' birthdays, and the hotel went above and beyond to make it truly special. Their room was beautifully decorated for the occasion, and nothing was too much to ask for. We had some unusual requests, like needing dish soap for baby milk bottles, but no matter what we asked for, it was provided promptly and with a genuine smile.
The entire luxury vibe and serene environment, complete with picturesque rice paddy fields, and opportunities for duck and cow feeding, made every moment memorable. The convenient buggy service to the center of Ubud dropped us right at the famous Ubud markets and the Palace, which was incredibly handy.
The central location of the resort was perfect for all our Ubud activities – ATV riding, Bali swing, rafting, and visiting the Monkey Forest were all easily accessible. The entire trip was simply amazing, thanks in huge part to the incredible staff at Visesa. We will absolutely be back, and we're already planning to send our parents to Visesa soon!
One small request for the management: given the significant number of Indian tourists visiting the resort, it would be wonderful to see a more elaborate Indian (especially vegetarian) selection on the menu.
The resort was amazing
Property was a 10/10
