Nice old historical hotel.
This place is a little strange. The bar was fun, just a few friendly locals...it was a good time. The restaurant is rustic (everything was) but the NY steak was incredible and only $24 for a delicious meal! This is cattle coyntry!
The room... I think the hotel is in the middle of being renovated...and it needs it! The bathroom had old linoleum coming up, no trim, stained shower. The common areas are great...think 1890. I must say it kinda reminded me of "the shining" lol, long desolate hallways. At the end of the day, i probably would stay here again. Mind you, this is the premium spot in town.
Friendly staff. Great historical building to see.
Town is pretty much non existent.
Breakfast in the cafe, and especially the coffee and barista, was lovely. Quite unexpected from an older hotel in a lonely town.
The linoleum flooring in the bathroom had peeled back from the tub. I neither saw nor smelled mold or mildew, but it's still a bad look.
We travel on motorcycles so it’s nice that they have hotel, restaurant, bar and coffee shop in one location.
It’s an older building and that’s part of the charm.
The restaurant food (dinner) is actually quite good. Unfortunately, I had to leave early in the morning and was unable to eat breakfast there. Old fashioned appeal with oak furniture.
It is a very old hotel, but my understanding is a new owner will be renovating it. The doors/walls are thin, the bathroom linoleum is pealing up, and there is only one electrical outlet in the room.
Well kept, antique furniture and great restaurant
Room was very nice but the shower dripped loudly. We reported it immediately but was not fixed within the 2 days we were there. Second floor rooms are directly above the saloon causing us to endure loud music until nearly 11pm both nights. There was no ice in the large ice container on 2nd floor causing us to go to the bakery downstairs to get some.
.
Okay
nb
Very old but unique place. Long flight of stairs to room with no help from staff with luggage. Fortunately I'm a fit 78 yr old. Very small room and had to drag an extension cord around for blow dryer, curling iron, & phone.
Great atmosphere, friendly people, idiosyncratic decor. I stay here every time l'm in Alturas.
Privacy and large room
Nothing
Original, propre
Personnel peu accueillant, supplément de fees pas prévus , pas de lumière qui fonctionne dans la chambre et lit un peu trop petit et surtout lumière dans les couloirs allumées toute la nuit donc éclairant la chambre 👎
