Villa Rossa — expectations didn’t quite match reality

We came across a recommendation for this hotel on Instagram. It was presented as a decent place to stay in Chisinau, relatively close to the airport. We decided to give it a try, but unfortunately, our experience was rather disappointing.

The hotel feels quite outdated. The interior and overall design look like something from the 1990s or early 2000s. Both the rooms and common areas could use some renovation, as parts of the hotel look rather worn.

Breakfast was also quite basic, with very limited options.

The location isn’t particularly close to the airport either, so I don’t think this is a strong enough advantage to justify choosing this hotel. In my opinion, it’s better to consider a more modern hotel, even if it’s a little further away. Another option is to book accommodation without breakfast and eat somewhere in the city instead, as dining out in Chisinau is quite affordable.

Overall: Unfortunately, the hotel didn’t meet our expectations and, in my opinion, doesn’t offer good value for money. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, as you can find better options in Chisinau for the same price.

Pros:

Розташування у центрі. Дуже зручно досбиратись. Персонал вічливий. Дуже сподобався сніданок. Номер красивий, зручний, гарна кровать.

Cons:

Ремонт. На потолку сліди від води, мабудь колись протікав дах, уе кидається в очі. А все інше - на високому рівні. Цілком задоволений. Рекоментую.

Pros:

Personale riservato, forse perchè io non parlo ancora rumeno, ma gentile e disponibile per tutto il soggiorno. Sono riuscito a comunicare comunque bene perché la ragazza della reception parla un po’ italiano e mi ha aiutato. Struttura pulitissima e confortevole. La mia camera top!
